“location great, front desk needs to find a job that makes them happy”

The location was great one block from beach. But, both of the employees at the front desk need to find different jobs. They were rude and getting extra towels was like pulling teeth. I couldn't even get more on friday or saturday night. Do you know how hard it is to make 2 towels work between, 2 girls (13 and 9), a wife, and me. But apparently thats all we were alotted. Because I asked the maid and she showed me her list. We had to use our beach towels. And it wasn't just me. My father in law was in a totally seperate room, and he had problem with the front desk also.

Its a box. A TravelLodge. Nothing fancy. Room rate very accomodating, Room pleasingly clean. No issues, just a place to sleep.

“OK place in Galveston”

Good location, just 1 block off beach and main drive. its at the far end of the island and away from the Downtown core. However we drove to the Strand which was a cool area for dinner and just walking around.

“not impressed”

I will never go back to that hotel. The costumer service was terrible. It looks like they don’t care if you are a costumer or not. The inside room was clean but the outside area smell bad and looks dirty. They have a good location. The breakfast was ok for the price.

“Cheap and thats it!”

This hotel was the cheapest in the area and there is a reason. the owner/manager and the family are very poor with customers (actually somewhat rude), after hurricane Ike it looks like they just painted over all the mold and dirt and now it is all coming back through. More of a cover up than a remodel. No beach view but very close to the beach so I guess that was a positive. If you need a place to sleep for a night it is tollerable but for a vacation i would not stay here.

“" Bugs in Bed, still itching "”

I'm not a picky person, I could sleep anywhere, but I am not coming back here again. There are bed bugs that won't let you sleep and leave you itching for a week. Not a very clean hotel. I believe a husband and wife own hotel, well, husband is not very professional. Do not recommend.

“Will not go back”

I was very disappointed with the hotel & staff. To start off, In our comments we put that the rooms be adjoinin or at least close together...one was on the 1st floor & the other on the 3rd floor. Our itinerary stated that we could check in after 4pm...we made it the after 4pm (closer to 4:15) & our room was not ready. There were housekeepers still in it & they told us it would at least be 15 more minutes. When asked to get another room that was ready, a room was given but not the type of room we already paid for. We were suppose to have king size beds & ended up with queen size beds & very small room. Housekeeping never cleaned our room or gave us clean towels. (Thank goodness we brought some of our own!) Our key cards had to be re-programmed almost every time we tried to re-enter our rooms. The hotel staff, especially the folks at the front desk were very rude! The best part of this experience was the Texas shaped waffles...even though it took 30 minutes in line to make them!

“Beware”

Room floors were sandy when we checked in, no hair dryer, no clock and the continental breakfast was a joke.
