Convenient location in a fun city (Galway)Posted Jul 24, 2014
Pros: Good location. Beautiful view from our room. Private bathroom.
Cons: Recommend including breakfast in the price.
Location: Up the hill from City Center -- lots of shops, restaurants and street performers. Great base for touring the Aran Islands.
Amber Lodge was easy to find and reasonably priced. Our room was a little crowded, but space was put to good use ( wall mounted TV; coffee and tea service on a shelf).

Great place to stay in GalwayPosted Jun 17, 2014
Pros: Location, Staff
We are a family of four and we enjoyed our room and view of the Bay - even had a rainbow outside our window. The staff were very kind and made the stay most enjoyable.

No breakfast + very tiny roomsPosted May 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
BE CAREFUL Breakfast isn't included which is kinda ironic for a B&B. Rooms are very tiny but clean, comfort is average, they are located near from galway city centre. Staff is there late at night. Expect rooms to be outside of the house

Don't Do ItPosted May 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
I have pretty lenient expectations on B&Bs, but this was beyond unreasonable. Was put in a room outside of the normal house (seems there are ~8 of these). WiFi didn't work; was offered to sit in the dining room for an hour if I needed to use WiFi, as it 'works great in the house'. Complained about how freezing the room was multiple times - heat is controlled by Staff in the warm house - you get 1 hour of heat from 10p-11p and 1 hour of heat from 7a-8a. I asked for a space heater, they refused and told me that I needed to put on more clothes (was wearing plenty, plus a scarf and coat under the duvet) and it was my fault I was cold. Parking is insane - 8 cars packed into space for 4. I was blocked in all morning and had to wait for other guests to leave - for 2 hours. Pay the extra money and stay in a decent B&B or hotel that will treat you with dignity and provide the agreed upon services.

Great Staff, Good rooms, Bad BreakfastPosted May 3, 2014
The staff were wonderful and very helpful. Rooms spacious and clean. However the breakfast you had to pay for and it was stale toast and bad cereal. The fact that you have to pay for a breakfast at a B&B was very disappointing and made even worse that it was a bad exuse for a breakfast.

Nice and clean. Close to city. Internet .. OkPosted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Searched on Expedia.
Cons: Just internet access. Should be available IN rooms.
Location: Walked through City. Went to the pubs, as you do in Ireland. Coastline and foreshore amazing.
We were happy he with the room. Very clean. We were in room 9 at the top and unable to access internet in the room. Had to stand outside the room. Otherwise, happy campers.

Clean and close to townPosted Mar 19, 2014
Pros: Clean, close to town
Cons: Room was tight
Location: Pubs, College town
This B&B was a short walk from the center of town. The room was a little tight with the luggage and the beds, but it was very clean and comfortable.
