only for family trip to water park and safari

Posted Aug 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
Beside the next door water park and the safari there is not much reason to book this hotel. We booked a studio room, but the room was not a studio room, just a standard room.

Good holiday destination

Posted Aug 1, 2013
Pros: service/staff politeness
Cons: f&b
Location: conveniently close to Kuantan
As it is still work in progress, there should perhaps be a further concession to rates on resort activities. That should bring in the crowd. f&b could do with some improvement. Overall I would rate this a good holiday destination.

Entertaining for the kids despite slow service

Posted May 28, 2013
Pros: The swimming pool and the trams to bring us to the Safari/Water Park and back to hotel
Cons: Slow service and no dental kit in room
Location: Quite a distance from town but if u drive up towards Kuantan u can find a small spot selling keropok lekor etc. Look for the Navy camp base
We stayed at the Studio Suite for 3D/2N. Check in was super slow even though they had about 4 counters open. I'm guessing it's probably due to the school holidays as there were a substantial crowd. Room was ok, as the price is reasonable. Pool was great cos they had the man made sand there so the kids loved it. They were always out of towels at the pool though, and don't seem to replenish them. Or perhaps another case of slow service or insufficient resources. Breakfast was so-so..not much choice and always full house even as early as 8.00am. It was great that on the second day they actually made effort to open up one of the ballrooms to accommodate the crowd. If you want to get food outside, it's quite a distance to town. There's one just opposite the resort but that too seem to have super slow service. Overall for a budget stay I would consider coming back as the Safari Park was quite entertaining although they are not 100% completed. I would advise anyone who wants to visit the safari to come towards end of the year for the full experience.
