“Great Little Hotel!”
This was my first all inclusive and now I know why they call it that. We however still did lots outside of the hotel. Location: if you do not want to stay at the hotel 24/7 best to rent a car as there are no other main amenities around. Staff: Great, we went in the low season and the energy and enthusiasm of the staff was comendable. The staff new english and french and some german and were always really helpful. Room and Hotel: Our room was a little cold but we were supplied with duvets on request and the gounds were really clean etc. As it was low season not every single facility was open but it was still a great stay. Some of the things mentioned that would be in the room e.g TV was not there but that did not matter! Food: For the more picky it might be a little repeatative BUT for me it was great and there were nice tunisian dishes we could sample. It was excellent value for money the food and hotel! Beach and Pool: the beach is Huge and the hotel is set just off it - you have direct access to it - watch out for the quad bikes on the way down! The poole is massive 50 meters and lots of deck chairs realy well kept! Conclusion - Had a super time and would really LOVE to go back in the summer. If you are not looking for poshness but a nice time away this is a great hotel!
“Great Holiday Resort”
A fantastic place for a family holiday. Although predominantly a French resort there was no problem as English was spoken by just about everyone (as was Spanish, Italian, German etc.). The entertainamint was first rate, the food excellent and the people were a pleasure to meet. I would reccomend this hotel without reservation.
“Great Entertainment, good for couples and families”
On arriving at the hotel we found the staff on reception helpful, though they had limited English language. This was probably because they catered very much for the French The room that we were in smelt damp, but once we had opened the windows and aired the rooms it was fine. We had all inclusive and the food was excellent with a good choice for the week. It varied from pancakes for breakfast to a good selection of fish and meat for dinner. Unfortunately we put on weight by the end of our holiday. There were staff organising trips and camel rides or quad bikes in the hotel. These trips were very cheap in comparision to Tenerife. This would be good for families. The entertainment in the evening was fantastic and if you like bingo then there were reasonable prizes. Although we did not have children with us they appeared to have alot going on for them, this may be because the hotel is quite isolated and a long walk from the nearest town. Taxis are cheap, you still get conned from the airport, but after that you get the idea of haggling prices and then can go most places cheap. We managed to visit quite a large number of places and still had time to sun bathe. The beach was close and the sea was warmer than the pool. There were some people selling items on the beach, but once you said you didn't want anything they left you alone. We had a smashing time and I would recommend this hotel especially to those with children.
“Very good service”
Very Good hotel for family holidays. Its not new but above average for cleaniness.
“Great Holiday”
Hotel itself was really nice. The staff were friendly and entertaining. All guests apart from ourselves were French which made it difficult to communicate. There was no where outside of the hotel where you could go to eat. Would recommend it to others.
“Nice Hotel But Isolated Location”
This is an older hotel but well maintained. Rooms for two are small but adequate, bathroom excellent. Food was very good with plenty variety. Staff will seek to involve you in activities but no problems if you do not wish to. Lovely pool and nice small bars, beach minutes away. Shop on site with nice souvenirs. Staff mostly speak French (remember Tunisia was only declared independance in the 1950s from France so is a very popular destination for French people) although some did manage some broken English. The only slight drawback is the location, miles away from anywhere so buses or taxis are necessary to explore.
“Good family hol..in May anyway”
only negative point was the reception staff.....we went in may and there were 200 ppl there capasity is 1,500 so what its like then i have no idea...in may the food, activities ,enetertainment all very good, good family holiday with security staff on the beach...we would return to the same hotel
“will go back again...”
VERY GOOD PLACE FOR A HOLIDAY,VERY HELPFULL STAFF,WITH A LOT OF ACTIVITES FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN.ALL INCLUSIVE A MUST ON THIS TYPE OF HOLIDAY,AND MAY JUNE THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR TO GO AS IT'S NOT TO BUSY.BE CAREFULL OF THE DODGY TAXI DRIVERS,ALLWAYS GO FOR THE YELLOW ONES NEVER USE THE TURIST TAXIS AS THEY RIP YOU OFF.
“Great value all inclusive”
The resort is in a very remote location but it is a short ride into Tunis. Yellow taxis are readily available, very cheap and the drivers very friendly and helpful. Tunisians in general are very friendly and genuine. Accommodation is very nice and comfortable but had problems with the plumbing. My companions had to change rooms on the third day as their bathroom kept flooding and the shower drain in my room could not cope and water was not draining away fast enough. The swimming pool is huge and well maintained although not a place for relaxing. They have entertainment in the pool area (aquarobics, aerobics, etc) and they continually play banging techno music. The beach was much more relaxing and is only a few minutes walk away. There are free sunbeds and shades and no music. Although I suspect it may be different during high season. There are traders on the beach selling (jewellery, hats, fruit) but they are friendly and polite and don't hassle you. Do take a camel ride along the beach it is really good fun but believe me, one hour on a camel really is all you need. The village Sid Bou Said is a must see. The markets are fun, even if you are not buying and the houses are all painted white with blue doors and shutters. Brush up on your French before you go as the hotel staff are really friendly and helpful but speak very little English and this resort seems to be mainly popular with the French. This is a really good, value for money, all inclusive resort. Recommended.
