“THE place to stay in Nimes”

I expected some language difficulties as my French is VERY minimal, and was not dissapointed. There was one person there who spoke very good English, and they had to grab him for any question that I could not get across, but he seemed to be there all the time. The hotel is in a beautiful section of old town, within walking distance of nearly every site to see in Nimes. Can't wait to visit again.

“Ideal for a Short Break”

Ideal location in the Old City Centre with all sites, restaurants and shops within walkling distance. Basic but clean and fully equipped rooms with helpful staff. Only complaint ....... a bit noisy at night from passers by and street cleaning traffic (but just close the shutters .... problem solved !)

Was not a far walk to any of the attractions in town. We got a room with a private blue bathroom and balcony which was very nice. They had someone at the front desk 24 hours a day and the rooms were very clean with air conditioning.

People running this hotel were very nice and we liked dealing with them. Location in old city was very good and convenient to whatever we needed, except train station, which was too far for heavy luggage. The decor was "old world charming", pretty much what we found in decent places in older European hotels over past 40 years, but wearing down. Reasonably clean, reasonably comfortable, and reasonably roomy for Europe, but not really air conditioned (summers are now blisteringly hot in Europe) and no elevator at all. A good place to stay in old Nimes during cooler seasons for a good price.
