“Excellent place to stay in Nimes”

This small inexpensive hotel was all we needed from our short stay in Nimes. The room was spacious, air-conditioned (essential in summer as this is reputedly France's hottest town) and situated in a quiet side street only yards from the main sights. There are also a fine selection of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. The chief reason for my strong recommendation is the friendliness of the English owner Andy. He gave us priceless advice on places to visit, how to get there on public transport and where to eat. I would certainly return

“Independent traveller”

We arrived early and dropped our bag (storage free). Owners are british and very friendly and helpful. The room was larger than expected and had air conditioning included (the room was cool on arrival but warmed up quickly). Breakfast was a substantial buffet.

“Excellent value and great location”

This hotel, run by Brits, is well located for sights and transport. The room we had was quiet with a small balcony and was well furnished. We were thankful for the air conditioning which was quiet, unlike many small hotels we have visited. The service was charming and relaxed. The breakfast was lovely - juice, fruit, breads of all types including croissants and pain au chocolat, cheeses, marmalade and jams plus tea, coffee or chocolate. The owners were a mine of information and it was good to be able to take the train (very close by) to the beach for just 1 euro. The area seems to be safe and we were able able to garage the car for a few euros a day.

“Charming Hotel - Short walk to the centre of the city!”

The man who checked us in was extremely friendly and helpful and welcomed us and helped us orientate ourselves to the city. He also upgraded our room to the suite on the top floor with no extra charge! The room was very nice and clean and had air conditioning and a tub. It was also very quiet and roomy! The one drawback was that the mattress was too soft. Overall a great experience though.

Very cosy hotel easily within walking distance of central Nimes. Very helpful owners and I will definitely stay here again when I return to this wonderful city.
