a very good hotel. clean and everything. i wish they had a bathroom screen or smth to keep water from going all around when taking showers. others than that a nice place to spend a night or two in Nimes

“Style and elegance in a piece of history”

I think this is my favourite hotel! Keeing its original Roman building, the rooms have been renovated into modern comfortable spaces with everything you could need. The ambience and arcitechture is fabulous, and sitting in the courtyard having breakfast you wonder at how many people over the centuries have sat where you are. This is my third visit to this hotel and each time the experience has been the same. Friendly staff, good bar and nice breakfast, but most of all, comfortable clean bed and lovely bathroom.

Great helpful and knowledgable staff, and room was always maintained meticulously. Near many sites and great found shopping center, and train and bus station.

“Great Hotel - not so good location”

We choose the hotel wanting to be central. It was, we knew there was not a carpark, but a multistory was just up the road, and was a great price. The hotel is more better than the pictures, and the pictures are good. It was marred by the street which it was situated on, which had many a youth hanging around on the street corners, which did make it feel rather unsafe.

“Darling Hotel”

Situated in the heart of downtown Nimes, it is within walking distance of all the attractions and shops. It is also a short walk from the train station! The architecture is so beautiful that we actually took the stairs to go up to and down from our room once we checked in. The room was small, but was pretty and had everything you'd need: AC, TV, mini-bar, comfortable bed with lots of pillows, beautiful private bathroom. The people at the reception were very nice, polite, and helpful. Be sure to ask about hotel "curfew" though. We were out a bit late one night (23:30) and found the front door of the hotel to be locked; however, there was a staff member there to open for us. It's not a big deal though since there's not much nightlife in this small (but beautiful) town anyway. You'll be sure to enjoy your stay!

“Lovely hotel, great value!”

The New Hotel Le Baume is a lovely, friendly hotel in the heart of Nimes. We spent a blissful two nights there in high summer. The staff were helpful, quick and kind, and it's small enough to feel personal. Our room was comfortable, attractive and clean. The atrium is beautiful, especially at night when you can enjoy a candlelit nightcap. We had hoped it would be nice - the stay was a bit of a treat - and it surpassed our expectations by some way. The Expedia deal meant it was even better value than the regular rate.

“Nimes, new hotel la baume”

This was a decent place for the price and deserves its 3 stars (recognizing how different the system for star rating is over there). Some reviewers were put off by the surrounding street but it really was normal for the town and the location. The carpet in room could be a little fresher and the wifi would be nicer if it was in the room as well. Hotel staff were very helpful. I never eat breakfast at the hotel unless its included and it wasn't. Wish no one smoked in the downstairs area...not sure if it was guests or staff but sometimes it had the smoke stank....Great location close to Les Halles, and in the downtown/old center area of interest. Could park at local parking for 8 euros per day or on streets up from Rue Gambetta for free but that requires a little walk. Was there over XMAS for 5 days and it was slower than it would be in spring,summer or fall.

“Great Hotel!”

Looks nothing from the outside, great when you get inside. Rooms great, breakfast excellent, staff very helpfull. Had a slight problem with noisy a/c, but that was sorted out efficiently. Right in the centre so easy access to shops Restaurants etc.

Staff very friendly and helpful.Hotel well positioned. Staircase very pretty. Didn't eat breakfast because a bit pricey but tables outside attractive. Would stay again.
