To start, the staff could not be more friendly. And the location is literally the 2nd building on the right as you exit the pedestrian side of the train station (which is good for location but you can also hear the platform speaker announcing trains, and of course, also hear the trains - but there aren't many that come late at night).
There's wifi and running water, but if you want anything more luxurious than that you should probably look elsewhere. No A/C, mediocre linens, very basic bed / furniture / shower, needs some updating, etc.
However, if you're ok with 'youth hostile' type accommodations then you will be just fine and will probably appreciate the reasonable price. The staff (who speak English) are quite friendly, knowledgeable and helpful so that's a big plus, but don't let that be the only thing that sways you - getting a good night sleep is what you're really there for so make sure you're able to sleep in those conditions and you'll be fine.
Nimes is an amazing little city ~ very walkable and worth the stop if you're passing through the south of France.
