Maison St. Charles Quality Inn & Suites

"Charming motel with excellent location"
It was a wonderful time travel. Maison St. Charles is actually a group of historic "maisons" that have been restored and converted for motel use. These buildings are clustered around three lovely courtyards, one with an outdoor pool. In the center is the oldest of the maisons, which has been beautifully restored and houses the breakfast room, where a full breakfast is served buffet style. This was the perfect start to each day in New Orleans. We could then take the short walk through the courtyard to St. Charles and catch the trolly. The St. Charles line is the most convenient and fun way to travel, in one direction to the French Quarter and in the other to the Garden District and beyond to the Audubon Park. At night we could return to our comfortable room for a quiet night's sleep.

"Will. Go. Back!"
Fabulous people, rooms with character AND comfort, clean, fantastic water pressure and we never ran out of hot water, great location with St. Charles trolley within a block, lots of great restaurants to fit every budget, and a laundry inside a bar nearby :) It was me, my twenty-something son and teenager daughter - plenty of privacy and suited the tastes of each of us. Can't say enough.

"Nice hotel close to the St.Charles trolley"
The stay was great and the onky complaint was the room was really vold and the heat did not seem to be regulated by the thermostat in the room.

"Great place to stay."
I love the fact that there are cooking facilities in the room, laundry services and exercise gym on site. The room maids do not bother you very often and the location is ideal for sightseeing and eating. Magazine Street is walkable and the streetcar to take you to the city centre stops outside the hotel. i stayed for 3 weeks and really enjoyed it. What more could you want?

"Uptown and lovely!"
We enjoyed staying in this refurbished old mansion, close to lots of restaurants and the trolley. I was very surprised that it was this nice and would definitely stay again and recommend it highly! Lovely breakfast in the cafe across the street was included with a delightful hostess that made us feel very welcome. The staff at the hotel where we had to go to check in and out was helpful and considerate, just make sure you go there instead of right to the Queen Anne address to register. The room was comfortable with all the amenities you could want including a small kitchenette. 5 stars in my book, don't be afraid to try it.

"Amazing-Intimate place to stay in New Orleans"
Check in was a breeze. Room was super clean and wonderfully accommodating with nice amenities. Pool and spa open 24 hours, rare but lovely especially for New Orleans, since it stays warm all evening. Hot tub seemed to be on a timer, couldn't get the jets to work after midnight, but still hot and inviting after a long day of fun in NOLA.

Built after the Louisiana Purchase, New Orleans’ Garden District was developed in 1832 by the South’s elite.

During this time, wealthy Americans involved with the cotton, sugar, and shipping industries commissioned mansions in the neighborhood. These homes are, to this day, considered some of the most well-preserved historical and extravagant buildings in the United States. Place this intriguing destination on your NOLA itinerary to observe the architecture of the George Washington Cable House, dine at the famous Commander’s Palace, and lounge in the Coliseum Square Park. For easy access to these testaments of time, book one of the many New Orleans Garden District hotels.
