I loved the Historian Inn before but the recent remodel is amazing! Great job! Beautifully decorated and love the continental breakfast! Will definetly being staying there again :)

Very comfortable beds. Silent night's sleep. We will stay here again. Grab & Go Breakfast was subtantial and convenient.

“Great hotel for a reasonable price!”

Very nice, clean and comfortable hotel. Only 20 minutes to South Lake Tahoe where we were going to the Celebrity Golf Tournament. It was worth the drive to stay at a great hotel for much less than what they were charging at South Lake Tahoe during the tournament.

Very nicely done with great 'carson valley' deco - truly comfortable and great staff - across from the best Basque dining at the JT Basque Bar and Dining Room!!

“Lovely for everybody”

We enjoyed the night at the Historian Inn. The only problem we had, was to find it. But then we had a pleasant night. The staff was very helpfull.

“Great Motel . . . Great Value!”

My husband and I stayed one night at this motel. The rooms have been recently renovated and were an excellent value for the price paid. Loved the nice little touches not usually found at a hotel in this price range, such as robes, refrigerator, flat screen tv, extra large bath towels, etc. The bed was very comfortable. Will definitely stay again when traveling to the area.

“Lovely Old Hotel”

We had a nice big room with a very comfortable king size bed. The only complaint is the poor lighting for reading in bed and putting make-up on in the bathroom. The staff was exceptionally helpful and pleasant.

“Great little place to stay”

Rooms were very clean and comfortable, employees very friendly. My only complaint would have been the pillows, they were thin and somewhat lumpy. Everything else was great. I'll stay there again next time I'm in town. Can't wait to see if after they finish all the renovations.

On the main road and very noisy. Bag breakfast a bit feeble.
