Garment District Vacations
Garment District is within easy reach of many of New York’s well-known sights. Among the places not to miss are the fascinating Minskoff Theater and the fantastic Broadway. Also, be sure to check out the Circle in the Square Theater and Gershwin Theater.
Of course, people come from all over the world to see the Statue of Liberty, one of the most popular landmarks in the country. It is only 3 miles (5 kilometers) from the heart of town.
New York’s city center is home to the Empire State Building and Times Square. Don’t head back to Garment District without a visit to the Chrysler Building and the Grand Central Terminal.
Be sure to visit some of the nearby museums and galleries, which help make the area the special place it is. There are many excellent places to take the family for an afternoon such as Frick Collection, the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and the Museum of Arts and Design. Experience one or two of the magical live shows at the Radio City Music Hall, Roseland Ballroom and the Avery Fisher Hall. Pay a visit to the American Folk Art Museum, the Museum of Biblical Art and the Chelsea Art Museum, to get your fill of art.
If the sun is shining get outdoors and appreciate the nearby green spaces. To spend some time in a green oasis be sure to check out Bryant Park, the Washington Square Park and the Madison Square Park.
