Private but close to town!

Posted May 25, 2014
It was very private but we still was just a short walk to down town. Our room was up on a hill so it had a great view and was very private! The room was very cozy and looked like what you would expect it the smokies!

AWFUL!!!!!!!

Posted May 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel is awful. Our air conditioning did not work, and the room was dirty. The hotel office closes at 7pm, so there was no way to work out getting into a room with AC after we returned from dinner and discovered it was not working. There were no curtains on the windows, just a lonely curtain rod and hooks. The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling, and there was not even a toilet paper holder... yuck. I was not expecting the Ritz for $50/night, but working AC and cleanliness is a must.

Fabulous view, BUT...

Posted May 12, 2014
Pros: The view from the balcony.
Cons: Updates.
Location: Too many things to list!!! This was my first visit to Gatlinburg...Great place to visit for all types! Highly recommend!
We smelled cigarette smoke almost immediately and inquired at the front desk if this was allowed. Told it was not and they would investigate. As we fell asleep the first night, the smoke was back and woke us in the morning. We asked to be moved to another room and staff was quite accommodating. No discount offered or anything else, but at least we didn't have to smell cigarettes anymore. Saw no chairs for the pool area. The view from our balcony overlooked a beautiful creek with pleasant woods and even though there were other buildings across the way, the trees blocked them nicely.

Nice Location, Terrible Hotel!

Posted May 9, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: It needs a total rehab on the interior of the rooms
Location: Gatlinburg, Smokey Mountains, Pigeon Forge
This hotel was very musty. We tried to air it out, but it didn't work. The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hotel.

Rough night in Gatlinburg

Posted May 2, 2014
Cons: Paint door trim to the bathroom. Get the curtains to close. Sound insulate windows and doors.
I arrived at 12pm after a delayed flight into Knoxville. Upon arrival at hotel, I had to go to another hotel on the main street to get my key since there was no one at the office. This took awhile and the other hotel was not close by (directions on the hotel front door were poor - go up 3 blocks to main street). When I got the key, I was put in an area next to the office that did not overlook the creek (my main reason for picking this hotel). This section of hotel was older and was not at all insulated from the noise outside. There were a lot of loud people outside with doors slamming and loud voices. The interior was in poor condition and made a Motel 6 look good - even though this hotel was twice as much money as a Motel 6. There are better places to stay for the money.

Close to the river

Posted Apr 29, 2014
Pros: The view and the people who ran the hotel made us feel welcome!
Cons: The bathrooms (shower head is too low and they could use a little more water pressure) and they could use a microwave!
Location: Shopping, dining, bars, old time photos, Ripley's believe it or not lots of fun things!
It was a beautiful view of the river! (you have to request a river view room) We were within walking distance to most everything we wanted to do! One bad thing... the Shower.... My friend is 6 foot tall and the shower head came to her chest.... she had to bend down to take a shower! other than that it was great!
