“Would Stay Again”
upon arrival at our room, we found out door unlocked and ajar. the lock on the door was messed up so the door would not lock at all. maintenance had it fixed within minutes. we stayed in the presidential suite and were very shocked at the size of the room. the extra space was very appreciated since there were 5 women and lots of clothing! the room could use some renovations but all in all we were very satisfied. would definitely stay there again.
“Not the best place to stay but a GREAT location.”
This hotel needs a serious remodel. While the beds were clean and comfortable, and everything in the room worked at it should, the bathroom was disgusting. The wall paper was stained and needed to be taken down. The sink was old and cracked. The balcony overlooking the river was great, but would have been better if private and not shared with three outher guest rooms. HOWEVER, the location was great! Visiting the national park was a breeze during a bumper to bumper traffic weekend. Also, we were able to leave the car and WALK to just about anywhere we wished to go in Gatlinburg. The WIFI did work, but the signal was weak..
“This hotel needs some maintenance to attract customers”
I got this last minute without much option. So I had to stay there. But this hotel needs some maintenance to attract customers. Only advantage is the location; very easy to access even with the crazy traffic.
“Keep Searching!”
This hotel has not been updated since original construction. The carpet was dreadful; stainded and torn in most places. The sofa was the same way. The bed was so uncomfortable that after a 3 night stay, my husband and I were actually physically sore from our stay. We stayed in the presidential suite and the room size was great and the jacuzzi tub was clean and nice, so there was a positive to our experience. We did have the balcony over the river. The balcony was not private as promised, but they did not book anyone in the room next door so that we had the balcony to ourselves; they tried. The staff was very pleasant. The complimentary breakfast was your typical juice, bagels, grits and oatmeal, but it was free and convenient. It was further from the parkway and the attractions than they had indicated, so we chose to drive and park in town in order to be closer to where we wanted to be. I would not recommend this place to others and I would definitely not stay there again.
“Not the Best!!!”
This hotel is an older place. The beds are hard as a rock! When we arrived at the hotel and got into our room we discovered we did not have a remote to the tv. Some of the buttons on the tv did not work at all. You could turn the tv up but not down. The tv was so loud we had to just turn it off. The next day we went down to ask for a remote and the lady at the desk acted like she didn't know what to do. She said "oh yeah the maintence man was suppose to fix that tv but he got fired". She sent the new guy up to program a remote. He could figure it out, he came in and out of our room several times before we had a working remote. It was very inconvient.
“ROOM SMELLS LIKE URINE!!!!”
property is in dire need of being updated, smelled of urine, carpet bed furniture, bathroom walls micro fridge, very old and in need of some love, we weresupposed to get a presidental suite but got put in the wrong room, the location is not bad, I stayed therefist as a kid when it first opened in the early 90s and it was a great place but hasnt been updated since from the looks of the place, its not bad for one night but i wouldnt stay multiple nights, no way no how!!!!
“needs new furniture ect”
All of the furniture was broken stained or ripped there was an old broken heater/air conditioner right next to the new one there were two mini fridges one was broken but again not removed needs new jacuzzi tub
“Family INN of America! What a Joke.”
Housekeeping did not clean room the room. She only made the bed and had left a bottle of windex and dirty cloth in the room. I receive a call from the front desk asking had the room been clean. I was told that they had a problem with the housekeeper. Spider webs was seen around lights in the hallway. On the second day, I found a roach was found in jet tub. The outside pool was filled with leaves, with grennish colored water. It was was not clean or available for guest. One lamp in the room did not work. The bathroom light had a shortage. One Blind was broken; my daughter removed it repaired it and then replaced it. Duck tape was used to hold the carpet down in one area of the room. Workers left a pile of dirty towels by our door. When I asked the front desk why they had been left, I was told the roofers were working their way down and had left them there. After 2 days, they were still there. In addition, the pillows on the sofa had broken zippers. The room was large with 2 king beds and mini kitchen, but the condition of the hotel was substandard.
