“Quaint, friendly lodge”

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Large, clean rooms with sliding glass door that opened onto small balcony. Balcony had 2 chairs to sit in. Room also had sofa that had a pull-out bed. Decor needed to be updated, but was very quaint. View from balcony was awsome. Breakfast buffet was offered with chef on duty for special requests. Buffet contained eggs, biscuits, bacon, sausage, fruit and yogurt. Chef prepared special orders such as omelets, pancakes, and waffles. Breakfast buffet very reasonable price-wise. Lodge amenities included indoor heated pool and hot tub. Lodge was close enough to walk to shops, restaurants, ski lift, space needle, etc., and tram stop. We truly enjoyed our stay at the lodge.

“Looking forward to going back”

As a single father of two young children, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and plan on returning. my only complaint,and it is really not a complaint, the bathroom was rather small.

“Good buy”

This hotel is a little off the Parkway in Gatlinburg, but it's a great buy for the money. It's quiet and both pools are great and kept clean. Our bathroom was the cleanest I've ever seen in a hotel. Ripley's attractions are fairly close by, just wear your tennis shoes and comfy clothes for walking. The downside was the fridge and coffeemaker did not work (I think the fridge was just unplugged), but luckily, we didn't use either of these things. Also, housekeeping brought towels when we were out of the room and left our door open a crack, which was reported to management. Overall, I was pleased with the stay.

“Good price, great room, good location”

Good location, nice accomodations, would recommend to friends and family for sure. Fireplace in the room was a very nice addition. Location is a little bit of a walk to the strip - but not bad at all. About the same as a NY City block and a half...if that far.

“clean and convenient”

Probably the best thing about staying at Glenstone was its central location to Gatlinburg restaurants, shops, and the convention center. We were able to walk instead of having to drive and hunt parking. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

“Overzealous Police in Gatinburg”

The hotel was fine. The Gatlinburg police were the problem. There is a law in Tennessee that says that when making a left turn, you must stay behind the white line until you can complete the turn without stopping. I pulled into the intersection and stopped and waited for the intersection to clear and then completed the turn before the light turned red. This is legal and customary in my home state. In fact, I have been told that driver's education teachers instruct their students to do exactly that. I was given a $100.00 ticket for stopping in the intersection. The fine for illegal parking in Gatlinburg is also $100.00. I do not ever plan to stay in Gatlinburg again and I would not recommend it to anyone else.

“Would definitely stay again”

I was very apprehensive booking a hotel that was not part of a chain but I was pleasantly surprised. Our room was very nice - not the newest but well maintained and the staff were very pleasant. The convenience of being within walking distance of the Parkway in downtown Gatlinburg was great. We didn't have to fight for parking spaces if we ventured out to sightsee. The trolleys stopped right along the street. Nice indoor pool and waterfalls. Our room overlooked the indoor pool and each morning we would wake up to the sound of the waterfall. It felt like you were camping in the mountains. Will definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone who is planning a visit to Gatlinburg.

Very nice and clean. A little far from the main drag in Gatlinburg. Five block walk (with a hill). But hotel had it all...

“This hotel is the Bomb”

This is the best. From the time we arrived, until we checked everything was great. We decided to extend our stay for another night and the staff was great helping us with what we needed. The room had a great view, and the pools and lobby were fantastic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you to the staff. You were great.

“Great for the hikers coming to Gatlinburg”

Love the locations of the hotels in this area, and have stayed in several in the nearby locations. I come to Gatlingburg to see the Smokies, the hotels nearer the park always appeal to me. Didn't have a chance to try out the pool/recreation facility, but had very nice breakfast buffet and very comfortable room. Would definitely stay there again on future visits.
