“About what we expected”

We stayed over the 4th of July weekend. The location isn't bad, we never had trouble parking at the hotel, there are several little shops and places to eat close to the hotel. You will be driving down the road to do family activities, but not hard to get out of the parking lot onto the pkwy. The pool is pretty small, I don't think the pictures really show it in scale. It's fine for lounging in, but you won't actually be swimming. The room was very clean, everything was in good shape. The only complains we really have are that the bathroom was very very tiny. I do mean very tiny, and the door was mounted improperly when they remodeled. The bathroom door wouldn't latch or lock. Nothing they could have done with it unless they wanted to remount some of the hardware. The internet says wired, they do have wireless. It went out several times on us though. Not just us, as we thought it may have been our computer, but a few of the other guests told us around the pool they were having trouble with it. Not major inconviences. If you are staying as a couple, no kids, it's not a bad place to stay for the money. If you have kids with you, you may want to try to find something with a little more room. The rooms are pretty small as is the bathroom. You sorta feel cramped, but we mostly used it for a room to shower and sleep at night since we were running around most of the day. Hotel staff was very friendly.

“Back wall-length mirrors--beware of noisy neighbors”

The room itself was fine...clean, etc. However the walls are paper thin and the back wall by the beds was a full mirrored wall. Therefore, our neighbors took full advantage of the mirrors with their activities. My daughter and I were up most of the night even though we voiced our complaints about the sounds and vocal noises. Breakfast was in a separate hotel room down the hall and was quite limited in space and selection. It was convenient to everything.

the pillows were very thin and the front desk staff could have been more pleasant and efficient. we were only overnight guests thank goodness. dont think i would stay here again unless an absolute necessity

The location was great. We could walk to restaurants. The hotel was not what I was expecting. The pillows were filthy, the sheet and blanket had rips and were threadbare. The towels were thin. Would not choose to stay there again.

The room was much smaller than anticipated. There was only 1 chair and no table. We improvised and used the ironing board as our table. The bed did not have a contour sheet, by morning we were sleeping on the bare mattress. The furnishings were old and stained, needed updating. We were not told where the breakfast was served - had to find on our own. Turned out to be in a hotel room, not very big and not much of a breakfast. We ended up at McDonald's next door. It wasn't noisy (except for the garbage truck picking up the dumpsters at 6 am) as there were only 4 cars in the parking lot. Will not be recommending this place to anyone.

“Prices can be fooling”

As soon as we arrived, the clerk suggested upgrading at an additional charge because the rooms were small. Small indeed, we couldn't even get the luggage carrier into the room without moving a chair first. Room was just big enough to fit a double in it. Obviously, we paid the upgrade, even then the room set-up wasn't satisfactory. The bathroom door was so small, it was hard to fit through, even for an average size person. The sink to the bathroom was outside of it & was right next to our hotel door. We felt like we were brushing our teeth in the hall. Would never stay there again.

“Don't let the use of the Dollywood name fool you”

When we checked in, the staff was rude he didn't speak to us at all. Then we got up to the third floor the room was super small, there was mirror over the bed, only a flat sheet not fitted sheet, hair in the bathroom floor and on my towel, they were blond hairs, mine is brown. We reserved a queen room but got a double. Other hotels in the area had their pools ready and ppl were swimming, this pool had now water at all. I came down for breakfast at 10, I had to look around for the room, there was no breakfast the woman told me breakfast ended at 10, when I voiced my complaints she just looked at me. I will not use this motel again.
