Great location.

Great room for the price and close to downtown. Could use a few upgrades but had a great time and the staff were so friendly.

Gatlinburg visitor

Manager seemed distant. Housekeeping was friendly. Could have had better quality pillows. Room never really cooled off. Sink leaked around the knob

Good walking distance from downtown area

Posted Jul 20, 2015
It's close to downtown Gatlinburg but the staff was rude from the moment we pulled in (with exception of the actual owner). The room we were in had a large gap under the door which allowed bugs in constantly (I even found a spider crawling from the bed onto my 3 mth old daughter). No ventilation in the bathroom but the window does open to allow airflow. The bed was lopsided so my twins kept rolling into me and each other due to the slant. Phone didn't work and was told to take it up with the phone company when we complained and we were unable to connect to the wifi in our rooms, we had to be outside. The pool was really nice and a nicer continental breakfast was available most days (wasn't stocked our last day).

Affordable & Convenient

Posted Jul 20, 2015
My boyfriend and I took a weekend trip to Gatlinburg, as we are only 19 & 20 we were looking for something cheap. Kingwood was perfectly fine, old but clean & within walking distance to downtown. You get what you pay for. Staff very friendly.

Ok

Everything was good about the hotel but they really should do something with the hot breakfast area. It was horrible and way below the rest of the experience. Room and staff were great

Didn't cut it.

Posted Jul 17, 2015
There is 2 building both super outdated! They had an ice machine but no ice. Breakfast was crap. Stale pastries and cereal. They questioned me when I asked for extra towels and pillows. The owners live on site and need yo spend more money in their facility than their personal electronics! Some sheets had stains and some towels had holes. Provided a place to sleep and that's it. Nothing comforting or enjoyable!!!!

Confederate flag flying. No, really.

Older motel - that's not an issue w/ me. What is an issue is the fact that there was a confederate flag flying from the motel flagstaff. Not okay.
