“First experience with this chain...I'll be back.”

A friend recommended La Quinta to me when I mentioned needing a hotel that accepted pets. Not being at all familiar with the chain, this property was a pleasant surprise. The staff was extremely courteous (provided great dining recs), the room was neat, clean and comfortable (the pillows weren't exactly high quality, but that's a minor nitpick at this price point), and the included breakfast was better than I expected. Overall a great value and I'd definitely book again if/when I return to the Sevierville area.

“Room had odor of smoke and dog.”

On entering our room we were met by mixed odors which turned out to be smoke residue and probably 'dog'. The window was open (probably to mask the illegal smoking), and there were pieces of dog kibble under the desk. Because of this, we looked more carefully, and found that the carpet had been vacuumed in the traffic patterns and not near the walls; there was a strip of dust and dirt near the walls. Carpet was stained in several places (pet urine?) We knew that the hotel was fully booked, so didn't bother to ask for a change of rooms. Fortunately the beds and bath were clean, or we would have gone to another hotel. On a positive side, the morning desk clerk tried hard to find us when my cell phone was turned in by another guest. I was very grateful for that, hence the higher marks for service.

Area recommendations

This area is a mecca for outlet shopping and entertainment. We were there to see family on our way home, so we didn't take advantage of any offerings.

“Nice weekend getaway”

I wish they had a SEPERATE Jacuzzi or Hot tub, not one integrated in the shallow end of the indoor pool

“I would stay again”

This hotel was a great choice. It is just a few miles from the really busy touristic area. Great location to visit the Great Smoky Mountains, which was the main reason we went there. Breakfast was good. Since they accept pets, we traveled with our dogs. Everything went well.

Area recommendations

There are several areas to visit. I would recommend to visit the Smoky Mountains National Park. This park is open through out the year offering different ways to enjoy nature.

“Nice hotel, if you can ignore the dogs that bark at 4am”

I like that it was close yet far enough from the busy areas in Pigeon Forge. We had a non-smoking room but the room smelled like smoke anyway which meant that we did too. While it's nice they allow animals, I feel that they should reserve a separate floor for those with animals. The people across the hall from us and next to us had dogs and they would bark at all hours of the night waking all of us up. We stayed for two nights and only got a couple hours of sleep due to all the barking.

“Pleasantly Surprised”

My family and I have stayed in quite a few of the hotels in the Smoky Mountains area over the years, and we have com to expect that they will have a certain level of "wear and tear" and so-so service because they are in a heavy tourist area. However, we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was VERY clean and the service from staff was great. The beds and pillows were some of the best we'd seen, even above muck more expensive hotels. We will definitely stay there again.
