“You get what you pay for!”

Not impressed, but the again you get what you pay for and this is a budget option. Room was basic and comfortable but not well cleaned (dusty) and not well mainatained (blown light-bulbs and missing lamp shades). Ok for a cheap overnight stay but not much else. Front desk staff best described as functional! The complimentary breakfast is very poor....eating area is very small and food options very limited. We chose to eat elsewhere (on the main street - many options within walking distance). Easily accessible with good parking and just aound the corner from the main street.

Area recommendations

This place is a real Tourist town - seemingly catering largely to the lowest common denominator! Avoid the Bubba Gump Resturant just down the road from the microtel. We found the service was mediocre and the fare outrageous!

“Nice location”

The location is in the middle of great shopping. There are other great attractions close by. Dinner theathers, senic routes, hiking trails and a great crafters circle from people living in the area. There is something for every age group!

When to go

The fall colors are usually best around the 3rd wk of Oct.

Must see

Cades Cove has beautiful scenery, wild life and a lot of history.

“You Get What You Pay For”

Considering the average room rate in Gatlinburg was about double what I paid, I believe that I got what I paid for - a clean room that was nothing special with no extra amenities. The location of the hotel was great. Just enough off the beaten path to cut down on the noise at night but within walking distance of everything in Gatlinburg.

“Great location and price.”

Great deal for the money. In the heart of Gatlinburg only two blocks off the main drag without the noise. Never had to use the car until we left. Everything an easy walk away. I will be back again to enjoy the sights and shopping of Gatlinburg.

Getting around

We were right in the heart of Gatlinburg. Everything is just an easy walk away. We never had to use the car until we were ready to head home. Great location!!

“Adequate.”

Only one person at the front desk; long wait to check in. Not enough luggage carts. Drink machines empty. Poor "Contnental Breakfast".
