Decent room for the price, TERRIBLE staff!

Posted May 25, 2015
Pros: Located right off the strip.
Cons: The customer service. Also they should make sure the room needs no repairs before renting out!
Location: Located right off the Gatlinburg strip. There are lots of family friendly activities to do near by,
Arrived at the hotel and checked in. Upon entering our room we heard the toilet running. The toilet was broken and was constantly turning on and off. We informed the lady at the desk and she said she would send someone to fix it. We had planned on simply checking in then getting ready and heading out. We ended up dealing with the repair man and front desk clerk for over two hours. They couldn't figure out what was going on and said they had no other rooms available. We didn't even get an apology. Finally after just turning the water off to the toilet someone figured out what was going on and got it mostly fixed. The room was so small the sound from the toilet constantly coming on was extremely annoying. That being said the overall appearance of the room was decent considering the cheap price. Although I will never stay there again due to the rudeness of the staff. An apology goes along way but they basically told us we were Outta luck.

Great for the money

Posted May 8, 2015
Pros: Close to everything.
Cons: The smell in the hallways, a larger breakfast area, etc.
Location: The location was great, close to everything in downtown Gatlinburg. No need to drive anywhere as long as you wanted to just visit the downtown area.
Great time, close to everything. We parked the car and walked the entire weekend. The room was small but all we needed it for was sleeping and showering. It was clean and comfortable. The only bad thing was that the hallways smelled like smoke even though the rooms were nonsmoking. Our room, however did not smell like smoke. We did not partake in the breakfast, just didn't look appealing to us and the breakfast area was way too small.

Nice hotel two blocks from Parkway.

Posted May 7, 2015
We paid $50 per night for our room and expected to get what we paid for, but we were pleasantly surprised! We had no problem checking in and the room was actually much nicer than expected. There are a few things that could be updated/painted, but I tend to not really care about stuff like that as long as it works. The only time we had to drive was when we went to Pigeon Forge, otherwise, we were close enough to walk anywhere we wanted to go. The hotel is a block from the space needle, where the best arcade in town AND the best calzone in town can be found! (Seriously, if it's midnight and you're craving pizza/calzone, go to Slice, you will NOT be disappointed! And a $10 calzone will easily feed two.) The hotel staff was friendly enough, helpful in answering our touisty questions and getting fresh towels for us late sleepers. I will definitely stay here again!

Right off Gatlinburg strip. No need to find park

Posted May 4, 2015
Hotel looks a bit dated but is overall not bad for Gatlinburg standards. Majority if hotels/lodges in Gatlinburg has the dated flower bed spreads and sheets. Microtel has white sheets and pillow cases. But there were alot of dust in the room (thick layer caked on the tv) and carpet floors needs vacumming/deep cleaning (my gf wore these white\tan slippers and they were brown the next day.

Defines....budget place to stay.

Posted May 4, 2015
Pros: Clean and cheap.
Cons: It could be modernized, but certainly cost would increase....so it depends on what you are looking for in a hotel.
Location: Very convenient to downtown Gatlinburg
Not modern. Not luxurious. Clean and a place to sleep. I only wanted a place to stay to avoid commuting 1.5 hours several times over three days. This was perfect.

Clean. Was extremely comfortable. Only flaw was that one of the table lights was blown. And there was a need for extra pillows.
