Good hotel for a basic stay and a budget.

My husband and I have stayed here 2 times. Each time we are pleased with the price but have noticed they could improve the room, sheets, and lighting. The staff is very nice. They are very strict on the amount of towels you are given.

Nice motel at a good rate

Microbes was a nice clean motel. The rooms are large. The staff was friendly and the price was good. Breakfast looked good but we had other plans. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Bathroom needs repairs, room needs better cleaning

Our bathroom had the baseboards ripped off and the linoleum was lifting and peeling up. Our room need better attention to cleaning. The previous occupant left behind spilled dog food that wasn't vacuumed prior to our arrival. It is an okay budget hotel for last minute stays.

Had plumbing problems at check in and no other room available. These were fixed by bedtime. One man at the front desk said I should book directly through the hotel when I complained that the room I booked was not a divided space (with a door) separate den/bedroom that the Expedia registration clerk promised me.

Tactful handling of a bad situation

Pros: Staff, location and layout of the rooms.
Cons: Cleaning and fumigating rooms that allow pets. It needs more than the usual cleaning.
Location: Right in the heart of Pigeon Forge.
The problem we experienced with this hotel was immediate. We walked into our room and the odor was terrible. It smelled like a dog kennel, or something in that neighborhood. We had to endure one night in that stinking room, but as soon as rooms were available the next morning after checkout, we were moved to another room. That room was very clean, no odor. I didn't realize if you book through Expedia, you have to take what rooms they have blocked off, and you don't have any say In what rooms you get, therefore we were stuck in a "Pet room" for one night. I'll try something different next time, but the staff at this hotel was great and I have nothing but high praise for them.

Pros: The room had a kitchenette complete with a microwave, fridge, and sink. It also had a sitting area.
Our room was actually more comfortable than we expected. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone.
