“Highly Recommend”
The cabin we had at Mountain Shadows was terrific. Spacious, clean and fully equipped. The best feature was the hot tub. Our kids loved it so much we added a night to our stay. You should go see for yourself!!
“Mountain Shadows”
We stayed in the "Hacienda," a two bedroom cabin. It was beautiful with 2 showers, a hot tub, jet bath, two balconies, two bathrooms, three televisions, an enclosed deck, a regular deck and a gas fireplace. I could not have realistically asked for more.
“Great hotel”
Everything was great. I wasn't expecting much but I really enjoyed my stay. The hot tub and jacuzzi are romantic. The only problem was being farther away from downtown, which meant we had to pay for parking every time we wanted to go somewhere in Gaitlinburg. Great hotel though.
“We will definitely go back!”
My boyfriend and I decided to take a couple of days off from college and work so that we could relax. It was truly a wonderful experience, and I was sad to leave. The rooms were spotless, the indoor jetted tub was fabulous, as was the hot tub outside on the porch. With taxes and such, the cabin was probably 20 dollars more a night than the local one room hotels. If you want to relax or have privacy, this is definitely the place to go to. I can't wait to plan our next trip here next year! =)
“Revitalizing Getaway!”
The cabin was comfortable, private and offered the perfect backdrop for a couples romantic getaway. It is close to town and the national park, yet private and secluded at the same time. Although there is no maid service, there were plenty of towels and they can be exchanged at the office which you pass every time you enter or leave. The fireplace, gas operated, was a lovely, easy romantic touch.
“Can't wait to go back. Great getaway. Close but not too close to attractions. Would recommend highly”
Great cabin. Looks new. Alot for the money.
“Great, quite, place to stay”
Was cabin in the hills, well equipped and great location. Could not ask for much more in a place to stay. Most of the cabins are very new. We stayed in the cabin named OUT ON A LIMB, one bedroom. Office open late for late arrivals.
“Stress releif”
It was the best. Quit, away from everything even the kids.
“Stunning view”
Great get away. The view from the back deck was gorgeous! We saw the mist rise and fall on the mountain. Very peacful. Loved that both upstairs and downstairs bathrooms had jacuzzi tubs and seperate showers.
“Nice little get away”
I stayed at Mountain Shadow Resort in "Out On A Limb." It was a tidy LITTLE one bedroom cabin with loads of luxury! The interior of the cabin was great, but after taking a walk around outside...I recommend staying in. They are doing construction on other cabins in the area and there is construction litter everywhere. However, there is so much to do inside (like soak in the garden tub, or the balcony hot tub, and relax and watch tv, or just enjoy the silence) that staying inside is a great idea. The MSR is also located very close to downtown Gatlinburg, Piegon Forge, the mountains, and a wonderful little arts and crafts community. I will return, and I would encourage friends to try it out!
