“One of the finest stay in gatlinburg”

Absolutely the best stay with the finest view. Very comfortable and clean place that you can ever ask for. I will definately go back there. As matter of fact, we are already talking about going back there for our next vacation trip.

“Really Nice Place”

We were pleased with the resort. We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo and it was clean and neat. We had a lovely view of the trees down the mountain side. enjoyed coffee and "home cooked" breakfast on the balcony in a peaceful forest setting. The kitchen was well equipped. Grounds were lovely, well maintained, decorated nice for the Fall Convenient to downtown Gatlinburg, a nearby grocery store, and other points of interest. Two complaints: two pictures fell off the wall and shattered while we were out - that was rather odd, especially since they somehow landed neatly stacked on top of each other. We never quite understood what happened with that, however the maintenance man arrived quickly to clean it all up; and 2)on our last night there, we had neighbors arrive and we quickly discovered that the condo is not sound proof. You could actually hear conversations in certain areas and you could hear the water running rather loudly. The noise from the adjoining condo could be a problem if you had loud neighbors that stayed up late. The resort had lots of family "Fall" activities - a hay ride, stories, and a chili supper, but we did not attend any of the events. The fireplace was nice and the place was really comfortable. We would stay again if we ever make it back to Gatlinburg. We said "no" right upfront when asked about attending one of the time-share seminars and we were not bothered any further about attending. The staff was pleasant and helpful.

“Nice location - staff needs improvement”

Mountainloft is in a quiet section of Gatlinburg, away from the hubbub of Main Street. The accommodations were roomy - great for our family of four, but there were a few things that were disappointing. The master bedroom bed was very uncomfortable (had a dip in the middle), the water temperature was unpredictable (fine one moment, scorching hot the next, then ice cold), the jacuzzi tub jets did not work and the walls were paper thin - (could listen to our neighbors conversations as if they were in the same room). The fitness room was a disappointment too. There were about 7 or 8 pieces of cardio equipment (no weight equipment at all) and only 3 of them worked properly. The most disappointing thing of all though was the service. The front desk staff was very unfriendly and almost acted as if they didn't want you there.

“Great place but not what I expected.”

The hotel and room was great, but it was misleading. The pictures online when you book the hotel shows cabins and I thought that's what you pay for. But when we showed up we stayed in a big hotel. It was nice but not when you think you're spending money for a cabin.

“Best family location”

I will extremely happy with the whole experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The resort was clean and well kept. I had 3 small children, and was made to feel welcome. I plan on going back as a family vacation again.

“Beware - this is a timeshare.”

While the facilities were adaquate, it was very frustrating to have phone calls from the company using high pressure sales tactics. We were pressured into listening to a timeshare sell presentation. The sales manager bordered on being rude when we told them that we didn't feel that a timeshare was worth the money to us. He used sarcasm to try to make us feel guilty about not wanting to buy.

“Dissapointing”

Hotel completly did not meet the standards of advertisement. I clearly did not receive the room according to the one I was allowed to preview that gave me the expectation that i was receiving. The view was of a ditch and woods not the moutain view. from my patio 10feet away was woods.

“Nice resort...but good luck checking in!”

The resort initially refused to provide the room that I reserved. I was finally provided the correct room but only after lengthy conversations between Expedia and the MountainLoft resort. The resort was great and has excellent swimming facilities but good luck checking in!
