We booked the room with the private balcony over the creek because it sounded nice enough. Upon arriving we were very dissapointed. The room was very "run down" and dirty. There were black smudges on the walls and the ceiling looked like it was going to fall in. My wife wouldn't let the kids take off their shoes. I went to the office and told them that we weren't going to stay. They were very nice and asked me to take a look at a room in the new building. This room was very nice. We were very pleased and they gave us the same rate even when we decided to stay an extra night. Only a 20 minute walk to the aquarium (and you'll want to walk). Just across the street from Ober Gatlinburg, TGI Friday's, Smokey Mountain Brewery, and more.

We just wanted to say that we have never been more impressed with how the staff was at Quality Inn Creekside. I've traveled all my life and have had some really bad experiances. Everything was in walking distance, food, events, attractions. What else can I say, we will stay here from now on...

I really enjoyed this hotel- great location, clean rooms, wonderful hotel. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable about the Gatlinburg area and offered several suggestions for activities.

“Great place for the price”

Perfect location to many of the downtown sites. Staff was incredibly accomodating to my needs. Room was clean. Parking was a little bit of a challenge due to the fact that the hotel was booked. Not much room to manuever a car around while full. Overall, satisfied with everything.

“Be aware of Gatlinburg being very touristic!”

I only gave a 3 on comfort for the hotel due to two points. First, we had some kind of machinery next to our room (probably the AC) and it was rather noisy at night. Second, the metal-bedframe was rather hurtful, when the matress was a bit askew. We hit our legs there a few times. Otherwise the hotel is nice and in walking distance to the very touristy downtown area, lots of restaurants and only about one mile from the entrance to the national park.

“Location fabulous, Night staff wonderful”

Only small issue with hotel. The door in our room was coming off hinges and hard to fasten. And found out later that they offered discounts to our favorite place to eat and no one offered us these. The balcony had something sticky splattered all over. Neither of these things were bad things though. We highly recommend the stay and will stay again. We will just check these things first. We go to the mountains at least once a month as a weekend getaway. Thanks for a great stay!!!!
