“not impressed”
the pictures we saw on the website of Red Roof Inn and the rooms were not what we got. The rooms were OK and the staff very helpful and friendly.
“Can't beat it”
For the price, you can't beat it. Great staff, good breakfast, nice room, walking distance to everything.
“ready to go again”
great hotel great beds very clean and close to everything walking distance
“red roof inn reasonable”
it was allright. close to to the market area
“Probably won't stay there again”
If you just need a place to lay your head, it is probably okay for the money. The first day, breakfast food was gone, including coffee when we arrived. They did brew some more coffee. The room desperately needed to be painted and there were bugs in the room. We didn't receive clean towels or washcloths the second day but the desk did replace when asked. Walk into town wasn't bad but I think I'd pay a few dollars more and stay somewhere else or stay in Pigeon Forge for the same money. Probably won't give Red Roof Inns another opportunity.
“Not impressed”
With the room stuffy and very smelly with pungent odors, with mold growing inside the room above the entry way, with the housekeeping staff not changing the bed sheets nor replenishing room supplies and overlooking various problems inside the room, I find it extremely hard to give this hotel or Expedia.com for that matter, any rating at all.
“Great Stay!!!!”
We loved our stay. Convient location to downtown Gatlinburg, Just about a block walk off the main strip at light #10 . There is also a Trolley Stop at the motel. If you don't want to go to town drive down a block to main strip take a right and within a couple of minutes you are in the National Park, head toward Townsend, Cherokee, Clingmans Dome, Chimmneys Picnic area or jump on the Bypass toward Pigeon Forge which is a beautiful drive looking out at the mountains and down at Gatlinburg. It is maybe 5-8 minutes if you don't stop at the overlooks. Great way if you want to get around the busy downtown of Gatlinburg. It was a lovely motel with the outside apperance of a Ski Chalet. It is off the beaten path and surrounded by woods and some views of the mountains. You also can see the Ober Gatlinburg Aerial Tram pass in the distance. We were in a room on the backside were we could look down at the creek . The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the staff was very attentive to check to see if you needed anything.
“would go back”
overall the room was clean and comfortable. the phone in the room didnt work and we had to get another remote for the tv because it didn't work either but no big deal the hotel staff was very nice and was willing to fix it as soon as we called. we did not like the neighborhood it was in, but overall it was quiet and clean.we would go back for sure. it was a good place with a really good price.
““Excellent value, location, & customer service at Red Roof Inn!!!””
We had a great time at Red Roof Inn Gatlinburg. It is an extremely convenient location for easy to attractions & smokies as well as walking distance to local bars, restaurants, shopping, etc. The staff was consistantly prompt & friendly with us for the duration of our stay. Rooms are not huge, but offer a fridge, microwave, free wi-fi, & free hot breakfast daily. Overall we had an awesome time & would happily stay again in the future! We are very happy to have found such a great spot in Gatlinburg.
“A diamond in the rough”
This small scale inn was nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains and just off the beaten path so most of the tourists were away from the area and even though the inn was busy most of the five nights we were there it was quiet. Everything you need is within walking distance or you can take a trolley around town or out to the National Park. The price allowed us to stay for 5 nights instead of two or three and the bed was really comfy and the whirlpool tub a blessing after walking around town all day. Our room also had a microwave and fridge...good for those on a budget as we were able to take home leftovers from a great little Italian restaurant that was in town. We would recommend this place to anyone!!
