“Pleasant Gatlinburg retreat”
Have stayed several places in Gatlinburg, and this was a great place for the price. It's near streetlight #10 just off Ski Mtn Road, so it's really convenient to the main drag without the noise and traffic. Last remodel apparently was a few years ago, but bath vanity is granite and most lights have a nice modern style which matches the wall decor. Pillowtop bed pretty comfy. Minor downsides: Don't count on much in terms of the breakfast. And if a tour bus is parked outside, expect to be awakened at 6a for a two-hour (seriously) engine warm-up.
“Great place to stay if you want to hike in the park!”
We stayed in this hotel because it was inexpensive, had free wireless internet, and most importantly, it was the closest hotel to the park entrance. (We pretty much HATE Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, but we love the park.) Our number one, two, and three reasons to go there is to hike. A free breakfast was also included, but it was limited to cold cereal, pastries, juice, and a waffle if you were patient. Nothing exciting. We had a frig and microwave in the room, which were nice features. The beds were comfortable and we were able to adjust the temperature well. The shower, once we figured it out, was powerful and hot. Only once did we not have enough hot water. The towels were wimpy and the shampoo consisted of a little packet. No big deal - we didn't stay there for that. The wireless internet worked well and we appreciated that feature. It wasn't anything really fancy but it worked really well for us. Would I stay there again -- yep, I would. It was a good deal for the money, and if you want to be right next to the park entrance without all the traffic, this is the hotel for you.
“Bathroom repairs needed”
All was wonderful, great service and staff, clean room, area nice but.....Sat down on toilet and about fell off, its loose and it teaters back and forth. The exhaust is extremely loud and sounds like it's going to blow up. Then the shower doesn't drain very well. All in all the hotel was very nice.
“red roof inn reasonable”
it was allright. close to to the market area
“No where near convention center”
Bad Location but good price. Property could use some updating
“Good value for a short stay”
The staff was efficient and friendly. Parking was difficult on the upper lot.We were only in for a one night stay. All we were looking for was a clean and safe place to sleep. It was very good for our purposes
“Ok stay for the price....”
After driving 14 hours, the front desk clerk, was not very friendly. I felt like we were burdening him to check us in. The parking was horrible. The breakfast wasn't very good as well. We got there about 9-915 am, and there wasn't much of anything left. No fruit. If you want to go swimming, you have to walk to their "sister" hotel about 2 blocks. We were so busy because there is SO much to do in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, that we did not even have time to use the pool if we wanted to. On a more positive note, it was very quiet at the hotel. The river went right behind the hotel and it also had a trail so you could go walking. The "main drag" was about 2 blocks from the hotel, so you didn't have to fight with traffic to pull into the driveway. It was a ok stay for what little we were there.
“My Gatlinburg Experience”
This hotel is just off the main drag in downtown Gatlinburg. The desk clerk was attentive. The room was clean but the decor of the outside needs some improvement. It was cheap and I got what I paid for. Oh... The in room coffee was horrible. I might stay there again.
“It is, what it is”
Definitely not anything great. Its a dingy red roof inn without ammenities. The "continental breakfast" was a joke. If you are just looking for a cheap bed to crash in, this will do. If you want anything more, look elsewhere.
“It was OK for the price, Room clean and comfortable.”
Continental breakfast very limited and coffee not good.
