River Terrace is nice and close.Posted Jul 25, 2015
River Terrace was the perfect hotel for our family getaway. It's clean, close to the walking strip in Gatlinburg, and reasonably priced.

Good location, nice staff, horrible hotelPosted Jul 25, 2015
Pool was shut down, no discount was offered for the stay. (It was one of the reasons for selecting the hotel. The kids wanted a pool). The bath tub/shower had been painted over and the paint was peeling off the tub. The rooms smelled moldy, dirty ceiling tiles, and terrible patching jobs on the walls. Definitely, not hat pictures showed. Definitely would recommend staying somewhere else. Only thing nice about the hotel was the staff and the location to the strip.

Comfortable spacious room. Centrally located.Posted Jul 20, 2015
Great place to stay for a family. Centrally located in town. Room was spacious and had all basic necessities. Not a luxury stay but great overall for the purpose.

Nice hotel.Posted Jul 19, 2015
The rooms were standard nothing extravagant. The staff wad nice and polite. The only thing that I wasn't crazy about was the resorts time share people in the hotel lobby.

Don't book. You will be sorryPosted Jul 17, 2015
Hotel has not been updated since the 60's or 70's. Really who uses paneling on their walls? This paneling was PAINTED an ugly beigh which probably was white at one time. Peeling paint on the plywood cabinets. Pool was closed because it cracked. Horrible stay.

Perfect Location! Loved it!!Posted Jul 16, 2015
Perfect location! Short walk to main street of Gatlinburg where everything is. Short smooth drive to Pigeon Forge. Only drawback was the pool by our room was closed so had to go to other pool near lobby.

Room nothing like the picturesPosted Jul 15, 2015
Room are very out dated and are in ruff shape. It was a very rough walk up a steep hill the elevator that would make that walk easier was broken. Beds were extremely hard. The bar and grill was closed one of the pools was closed the other pool was supposed to be heated but felt like ice water. The river terrace uses pictures from the suite to put on the internet and they are not on the hill if you are going to stay make sure it is one of them. The only thing I can say that is positive is the room was clean and has a beautiful view of the city and mountains at night and the ducks are a lot of fun to feed and watch other than they land in the pool. If you are wanting a place to relax and unwind and you prefer nice modern comfortable rooms pick somewhere else.

Picture had a sofa but our room did not so our son had to sleep on the floor. Pool was far from our room. They were nice about giving extra pillows but beds were hard. My son sat on one and said it was "crunchy".

Easy to walk to main street. Go stop before travelPosted Jul 13, 2015
Nice room close to downtown and a great stop before the Smokey Mts. Walking distance is good for main street shopping.

Clean room and a great location.Posted Jul 13, 2015
Able to check in 3 hours early. Very clean room. Newer carpet, nice big tv on the wall. Beds a little firm. Overall great for the price and location. Building 7 was where we were located.
