Buildings definitely need some renovations; door to the room was broken, walls are paper thin, as well as carpenters bees living in every crevice. Staff was great and the room was clean.

Our room was squeaky clean. The rug and the love seat needed replacing but no complaints on the rest of the room. We were able to park right outside our room most of the time and if not, it was fairly close.

The only reason this property didn’t get a full 5 stars is because it is an older property. I didn’t love the carpet in our room but really, that was the only negative of our trip. And we were told by an employee that they are working on updating the flooring and the property, in general. The River Terrace is a great location! I loved the creek in front of the property, the covered bridge leading to the property, and the walkability to the Gatlinburg strip. The River Terrace sits right behind Baskin’s Creek which is right across the street from The Village. I loved the private balcony on our room, the bed was very comfortable with ample pillows, and the shower pressure was wonderful! We are already looking at staying at The River Terrace in the future. Also, every one of the staff was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and looked like they generally enjoyed their job.

Super Close to everything in Gatlinburg and parking was great. A couple silly things I didn't like: 1. only 1 small trash can in room 2. Balcony door would lock person on the balcony, if door closed all the way.

Like the location, close to the main strip, did not need drive to get to entertainment, shopping, and dinning. What I liked about the hotel was location, balcony, fireplace, unlimited hot water for shower, and being right over the creek. The let down was the property is just tired and dated. The room is bare, made it feel cold. The bathroom, is throwback to 70's and no heat, and fan did not work. The service/staff was Excellent. If you want be close to strip it is nice location.

Hotel was very nice, and clean. Loved location and staff were great. Had to give it 4 stars based solely on the shower. Alternated between cold water and boiling hot water, constantly changing.

Staff was incredibly friendly and kind. Great location, clean and comfortable, and loved the fireplace and balcony! Rooms need clocks, some soundproofing or space out guests better, and better lighting.

Check in was easy. The rooms are on hilly areas there are no elevators available to get to the upper floors the heating and air units need to be updated to control room temperature better. The internet could be better as the television could not be connected to the internet to stream movies from our phones when we had some down time. The room was clean however there are minimal electrical outlets to charge your devices. Overall for the price paid this day was good and the room was average I would ask for a ground floor room next time.

Room had a horrible smell of mariuana. We were on the back side big hill to walk up and down. Would not recommend. Also supposedly renovated room but very updated.

The photos of the rooms on Expedia do not represent what the rooms actually are. They are old outdated stained carpeted rooms. It says newly renovated but it is not and is misrepresentation. The heating unit was making a terrible noise when I entered the room and had to be replaced. The staff blamed Expedia for not posting what the rooms actually are.

Quick check in, incredibly close to every thing. Clean rooms, super friendly and hospitable staff. I can’t stay enough good things about this place. Beautiful view and perfect spot to watch the fireworks from the space needle!

Negative not enough luggage carriers. No dead bolt on door.. our dog was able to get out of room! Scared us to death!! Positive… great area…very convenient.

This property needs a makeover. Old run down property. Good location. Staff was accommodating. Description stated breakfast for an extra charge which is misleading. Closest breakfast location is over a block away with long wait times. A simple continental breakfast with coffee, juice, pastries, cereal, and microwave breakfast biscuits on site should be available. Do not recommend and will not visit again.

We love the convenience to downtown. The staff is very helpful. Our room was very clean and we stay there because it’s pet-friendly. Our room was easy to access and parking was very close. The only negative is that we couldn’t get WiFi the first day of our stay.

Walls are very thin, could hear the people next doors conversations. People next door had dogs that barked loudly at 6:30 am. The heat was either on or off. No way to control the temperature. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable of the area.
