Fantastic Family Vacation 4th of July

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: The location, cleanliness, lazy river, friendly staff, the grounds were landscaped beautifully and well maintained, covered parking
Cons: Just little things like salt & pepper, a few more dishes, a tea pitcher.
Location: Dollywood, Dollywood Splash Country, The Old Mill, The Island, Patriot Park, Little Pigeon River, Foodland Grocery Store, McDonalds, Texas Roadhouse
Reserving a 3 bedroom condo at Riverstone was the best decision we made while planning our family vacation. It was very clean and was in the perfect location for the plans we had to go to Dollywood and Dollywood Splash Country. Just a short drive, one block, we took the 50 cent shuttle to Dollywood. My grandchildren loved the Lazy River at Riverstone and walking along the Little Pigeon River just below the pool and lazy river area. We didn't make it to the indoor pool, but it looked wonderful. The kitchen was a nice size and had lots of cabinets to store all the food and snacks we took with us. The master bed/bath was as beautiful as any you have ever seen. We enjoyed Riverstone and will stay there again if we make the long drive back to East Tennessee in the future.

Family vacation --great time! The lazy river is nice and refreshing! The condo was clean and nice. Wish the kitchen had more bowls and a pitcher. Great stay though! Would definitely stay there again!

Excellent

Everything was perfect, the only thing I think that could be improved was that the towels needed to be better stocked at the pools. I had to call multiple times for more to be brought.

Disappointed!

Posted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: The location was good.
Cons: Don't advertise the features that you MIGHT get, ...just be more honest!
Location: Lots to do near by!
Lots to complain about! My room was advertised to have a balcony, ...it was on the first floor and it was right against the parking lot and sidewalk. The air conditioner was frozen and it took maintenance until almost mid-night to resolve the problem (had to add freon). It was advertised as having a whirlpool/hottub in the room, ...there wasn't one! There were dirty wash cloths under the sink and empty soap power box on top of the washer. Whe I requested to be moved to another room, it was explained to me that Expedia only books the least desirerable rooms, ...that is how they can offer a discount. My request to relocate was denied. This was my 25th wedding anniversity and I so much wanted it to be special! I was greatly disappointed!!!

Very nice lodging, close to all main attractions

Pros: Roominess, home-like feeling, quiet while being kid-friendly.
Cons: Master bedroom mattress wasn't terribly comfortable. A warning that there isn't daily maid service - just in case folks are expecting it.
Location: Within 5 minutes of Dollywood and 2 minutes from Dixie Stampede. Very central, convenient location, but just off the main drag enough to be quiet.
This facility is not exactly a hotel - really condos. There is no daily maid service, trash removal, etc. I do not offer that as a criticism, as our experience there was exceptional. If you need more towels, toilet paper, etc., you need only ask. The suites are roomy, very clean, and nicely appointed. The patio on our first story unit was quite roomy, and overlooked the golf course. The pool and lazy river were very clean and neat, and although there is no outdoor pool besides that lazy river, the atmosphere is kid-friendly while still very quiet and relaxing. The playground was larger than I've seen at any other resort of this type. Our three-bedroom suite was more than roomy enough for three generations of our family. The details on the Expedia website about the three bedroom suites do not mention that the third bedroom has two single beds - perfect for kids (from the room info, it looked like there might just be a sleeper sofa, but there were two beautiful and comfortable beds. The full kitchen has enough room and equipment to actually do some cooking - a nice way to save a little bit of money if you so desire. There are outdoor grills and nice patios all over the place. You need to remember to bring toiletries that are often provided by a hotel. A very good option - we will plan to stay there again.

In the middle of every thing you wanna do

I wish they had given us a room with a better view , over 75% vacancy, yet we had a ground floor parking lot view. Everything else was great, except for the towel conservation policy, they need to loosen it up. Overall, we would return someday soon.
