Best Dollywood location

Posted Jun 7, 2014
Pros: The guy that made our day cleaning the room, his name was Don.
Cons: The crazy toilet paper holder over the toilet.
Location: Lots of shopping malls near by and resteraunts were pretty good as well.
This was a very exciting trip to visit pigeon forge. We went all over but found that our hotel was in the cream of the crop area for all the activities near Dollywood.

We are so pleased to hear that you truly enjoyed the ease of access to all attractions, shops, and restaurants from our hotel. We enjoy being at the entrance of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park as well. Thanks for your review.

Affordability near a National Park

Posted May 11, 2014
Pros: Location near the National Park, affordability, hotel staff, room comfort, breakfast, WiFi, TV/HBO.
Cons: Find a way to seal the door better and deep clean or replace the carpeting.
Location: Located on the very South end of Pigeon Forge. The Parkway runs I guess 2 - 3 miles through Pigeon Forge, so it can be a long walk. Plenty to see.
I recently stayed two weeks at the Rodeway Inn at Pigeon Forge. Overall it was a good experience for the price, although after getting there I saw prices that were less. The motel is on the very South end of Pigeon Forge, which means you will likely need to drive to where you are going, or take a long walk. There is a trolly service that can take you anywhere on their route for 50 - 75 cents. The staff was friendly and helpful. The housekeeping did a great job on the room every day. The motel room is showing it's age but it was clean. The only two issues I had was there was not a good seal around the door, which allowed smoke to come in from people passing by. The biggest issue was the carpeting. It was basically, filthy. It needed to be cleaned in the worse way. I would not want my young kids or grandkids to play on it. My house slippers turned black on the bottom. Loved the pancake breakfast.

We are pleased and thank you for staying with us. The housekeeping department is so glad that you noticed the effort that they put into making each room very nice and clean. And yes, the trolley goes to the major places in the towns which allows one to not have to drive, if one so desires. We hope that you noticed that we are in the process of putting new seals around the doors. We have the carpet cleaned professionally on a routine basis but will investigate your room and clean it immediately. We apologize for any inconveniences that you may have encountered. We hope to see you again very soon!

Thank you so much for your review. We provide two sugars, one sweet and low, and one creamer per two cups of coffee, but we are always happy to give a guest more at the front desk if needed. We apologize that we did not make that known to you. So sorry! Thanks for staying with us. We greatly appreciate your business.

Affordable stay close to major attractions!

Posted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: Conveniently located near most major attractions in Pigeon Forge near the end going toward Gatlinburg.
Cons: I cannot think of anything. I was skeptical of the parking available, but there are spaces out front and in back of the hotel.
Location: Dollywood in nearby, as well as Comedy Barn, The Island, Lumberjack Feud, Dixie Stampede, and lots of small stores to shop.
This was our first stay at Rodeway Inn and we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel does look older but the rooms were clean and quite comfortable. The heat/ac unit was near the bathroom, which we preferred rather than having the air blow the curtains around at the window, and worked very good (it did not take much temperature on the dial to quickly heat the room). The beds were lower but for us, who are older, it was beneficial (cannot get up into a high bed). The bathroom worked well. TV was an older model, not a flat screen, but was fine for late-nite viewing. The location was excellent as it is close to Dollywood, most Pigeon Forge attractions, and right off the road that leads to Gatlinburg. The staff were very friendly. Courtney was wonderful in helping us get a room close to the main office. Breakfast is at the next-door Pancake House and consisted of four free pancakes and free coffee/juice/soda. It did not sound like much but it filled us up. We will definitely stay here again!

Comfortable, close to breakfast (4 pancakes)

Posted Apr 6, 2014
Pros: Easy to get in and out to parkway into traffic.
Cons: For age of building and cost, hard to expect any improvements!!!!!!!!!!
Location: Hotel at last traffic light in Pigeon Forge, would need to drive for shopping or activities. This adds to quietness of evening.
Sets back off parkway, cool breeze coming down each evening, nice balcony to set on

Pros: Basic hotel with great rates!

Cheap Hotel...lacking in some respects however

Posted Mar 23, 2014
Pros: The price and location were great.
Cons: Better WiFi network / access and better room maintenance (heater in-operational).
Location: Located in a great place...on the edge of Pigeon Forge towards Gatlinburg...there are tons to do both city-wise and nature-wise (National Park).
One of the cheaper hotels that I found in the area. Considering the price it wasn't super bad. However, I was staying in the winter time and couldn't get the heater to work...so the room was really chilly. It didn't help that the bathroom section was tiled so the floor was really cold getting out of the shower / using the toilet...minor but I don't like cold feet. Also, I was in the 3rd building and could not connect to the WiFi. They did give you a ticket to redeem for a free stack of pancakes in the morning, I didn't take advantage of this.

Thank you for noting that our room rates are very reasonable. We are so sorry to hear that you had difficulty with the heating system. Please know that if there is ever a problem at our hotel, such as with a heater, we are always happy to fix the problem in that room or move one to another room. We apologize for the fact that the tile was cold. Tile is a surface that can be cleaned well which is a must in our opinion. We expect our guests to be able to have an very clean, comfortable room and tile does seem to be a floor surface that allows one to accomplish that purpose. We are disappointed that you did not try our delicious pancakes. We think that they are some of the best pancakes anywhere. Thank you for your comments. We greatly appreciate it.
