The Park Vista - a DoubleTree by Hilton Gatlinburg

The hotel was overall nice except a few minor problems, the air conditioner was rather noisey we didn't sleep well at all. The Ironing board was bent and well we were unable to use it. The food was good and the staff was really nice.

This hotel COULD be a 5 star hotel. But, it falls short in many areas. Positives: Beautiful setting. Smoky Mountain views. Nice indoor pools - separate kids and adult areas. Nice restaurant. The lobby is beautiful. Nice outdoor areas including a play area for kids. Quiet. Negatives: No complimentary breakfast. No free wi-fi. The rooms are older and need of updating. If you wish to go into Gatlinburg, you either have to drive or take the trolley. Not in walking distance. Very limited parking close to entrance. Over-priced for what you get. I felt a bit misled by the hotel's claims of being near downtown. Was looking forward to being able to walk and not worry about the parking nightmare downtown. At 6:35AM there was no coffee. The wait staff was very courteous one morning and gave us coffee from the restaurant but the next morning they seemed very annoyed that we would ask for coffee at nearly 7AM. The restaurant was supposed to have opened at 0600. Our room was moderately clean. There were stains on the carpet and the inside of the fridge was terrible! They do not provide daily cleaning services unless you request it. We did not know this until the second day. All-in-all, it was an ok experience. If I had to, I would stay again. But, will definitely look at other locations. This hotel would be a last resort.

Beautiful hotel. Used to stay at this hotel all the time and it started going downhill. Now that doubletree has taken over, it's much nicer. Overall great experience.

Trolley service to downtown Gatlinburg was a bonus!

This was an overnight anniversary celebration. It was a very nice stay. We were pleased.

Very quiet and Friendly. Some of the information provided by staff was unsolicited but eventually valuable.

This is a wonderful place for families. They have an amazing pool area with slides, falls, etc. They also have a beautiful outdoor setting with a playground and beautiful landscaping. The room was nice, beautiful lobby and great food. I would go again for sure.

The hotel sits on top of a mountain. You can see it from the bottom of downtown Gatlinburg. I didn't think much of the hotel and was worried when I first drove up to the parking lot since from the outside you can tell the hotel has been there many years due to the older architecture. But when I went inside, all my fears were erased. The lobby is remodeled, very warm and inviting. The staff very friendly and had delicious freshly baked warm chocolate cookies to great the tired guests. The hotel is round and atrium style with glass elevators taking you way up to your room. You can see the lobby of the hotel from any floor. Very impressed with the room. Richly decorated wood and granite throughout. And all rooms have a balcony. An added plus (although we didn't use it due to lack of time) is the indoor pool and slide (ala water park style). The pool area is themed with large trees throughout so you feel you are outside. Outside the hotel there's a large garden, brick outdoor fireplace surrounded by adirondack chairs where you can enjoy a nightcap with your favorite cigar to end the night. Would stay here again next time we come.

The hotel is very close to the Smoky Mountain National Park, specially Cades Cove, that is a "must see", although my room didn''t have a park view. If you want to go to the aquarium and other attractions in the city center, there are better located hotels. My stay at this hotel was excelent, everythig went well, the room were confortable, she staff very nice and the check in and check out really efficient.
