Nice place to stay

Posted Oct 17, 2014
Pros: The friendliness of staff and the nice, homey room we had. close to some things to walk to and the extra discounts offered at check in.
Cons: Sound proofing of room and or signs indicating quiet time to be observed, and to offer some kind of continental breakfast if people don't want to cook
Location: Close to some things, but far from most of the attractions.
Great for kids, lot of activities for them do there, it was great to have a somewhat full kitchen especially with the larger than usual refrigerator. Room was clean and nice, could use some new pillows they were a little flat and shower curtain was hard to slide across rod, rings too tight. We did have some noisy neighbors, parents and kids, may help to have quiet time signs up to remind people they're not at home and need to be quiet by maybe 10 pm.

Great for families

Posted Oct 9, 2014
Pros: Clean and friendly. Pools would be great with small children.
Cons: More luggage carts and actual housekeeping daily. For the price, you get that in other chains...
Location: Great location - close to Dollywood and the Island and tanger and Walmart.
Nice room; wasn't ready at check in; had to come back after phone call. Slow elevator and only four carts for everyone to share; limited toilet paper, dishwasher detergent, soap, shampoo which was weird. Towel swap left on table, no bed make up. Pools looked nice and clean. Ours was one of the few rooms with no balcony - wondered if it was because we booked on Expedia as opposed to booking directly-not sure...

We would like to thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us! It is with feedback from our guests that we are able to grow as a company and continue to provide excellent guest services to all of our patrons. We'd like to take just a moment to address the issues you have brought to our attention. We wish to apologize for your room not being ready when you arrived to check in. We all strive very hard to ensure that all of our rooms are ready at the advertised check in time but we fell short for you on this day and for that we are truly sorry. We do have more than four luggage carts for our guests to use but unfortunately, they are in high demand right around check in time. As we are a condo rental property, we do not provide some of the "regular" services or amenities that you may find at other chain properties. This is done so that we can focus on the overall cleanliness of our rooms for guests checking in. We do offer daily trash removal as well as daily towel pick up and drop off. We apologize if this was not explained to you properly. Lastly, we do not discriminate against anybody based on how their reservations were made. We do have a small number of rooms that do not have a balcony and in order to ensure that our guests get exactly what it is they are looking for, we encourage them to contact us directly here on the property. We hope that you can afford us another opportunity to show you just what excellent guest service means to all of us here and wish you safe journeys in the mean time!

Very friendly staff Arrived very late. Very accommodating. Gave me excellent directions the back way to Dollywood for the next morning We have stayed before and were able to swim. Time constraints didn't allow it this time but the pool is great.

Weekend without television

Posted Oct 7, 2014
Pros: Pools and water parks. 2 bedroom unit was nice
Cons: Can't believe they had cable problems that lasted the entireweekend
We arrived and were very pleased with the accommodations. We noticed that none of the tv's or cable boxes were working. Called the front desk. They said they would " get right on it". Saturday morning came, still no cable. Sent out the company who took all the remotes and said it was fixed. Returned to the room and found nothing working and no remotes. Was told it was out in several rooms. Finally upon leaving Sunday, still not fixed. No apologies offered. Only told that the side of the mountain was out. Very disappointed. Grand kids loved the pools and water parks. Ashamed it was ruined.

On behalf of the entire staff of The Resort @ Governor's Crossing, please accept our most sincere apologies for any inconveniences you experienced during your stay. We are sorry that your inability to watch cable had such a negative impact on your stay with us. We are glad that your grand kids enjoyed themselves in our water park and pools and hope that you can see the issue of the cable tv as something we had no control over. We can only ask that you give us another opportunity to provide you and your family with a vacation experience that will last for years to come. We wish you all the best and hope to see you soon!

Nice hotel with plenty of pools

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: The pools, the full kitchen and dining area and the comfortable bed.
Cons: I don't think the noise can be improved based on the layout of the building. Bathrooms could be treated for mildew.
Location: It's located near Tanger Outlet center, Dollywood and Dixie Stampede. Plenty of shops & places to eat nearby.
The hotel staff was very friendly and for the most part the room was clean. I noticed some mildew in the bathroom above the shower. The room iteself was comfortable, but I didn't like the noise. Be prepared to hear doors slamming late at night/early in the morning and other people talking. My daughter enjoyed the pool areas. The pool is between the hotel and the parking lot. I had to make several trips to unload/load the car. It was quite a hike to make 3 trips.

Great area. Clean resort

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness and kind staff
Cons: None
Location: It's within minutes of Pigeon Ford and Gatlinburg. Need I say more! Sevierville is a great area!
The room was very nice and spacious. We appreciated the cleanliness of the room and the private balcony. The staff was very kind and went out of their way assisting us and answering questions we had about the area.

OK but nothing there

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: It was quiet sleeping. You didn't hear your neighbors Good location
Cons: Snacks on sight, more housekeeping services or at least let you know what you are getting when you make a reservation
Location: Tons and tons of activities, food and shops
Our stay was for 3 nights. It was OK; but there were no amenities except the water park. Bring your own food and drinks if you snack and want to eat and drink without leaving your room, otherwise you will use vending machines that are not stocked daily. We went to several floors for pop, and another for snacks. Housekeeping is limited to bringing clean towels. .

Thank you for taking time to let us know about your stay with us! Several of our amenities differ from a hotel since we are a resort. Housekeeping will change trash and towels, daily, but does not provide full stay over service. You can receive full stay over service if you prefer, for a fee. Vending machines are found throughout both buildings, but we do not own them so we do not keep them stocked. We provide full size kitchens for our guests to utilize and a Walmart right down the road so you have everything you need for your vacation. Included in a guests’ reservation is full access to the indoor and outdoor water parks, putt putt, arcade access, the knowledge of our helpful staff, and coupons for nearby restaurants to get you started. Thank you again and we hope to see you next time!

Good place to stay

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: The hotel is maintained and very clean.
Cons: The only suggestion for improvement is to check the entrance swipe machines. We had difficulty with our key cards at these doors.
Location: Plenty of restaurants close by. Winery beside the resort. Stables, zip lines, shopping at outlets, Titanic, Wonderworks, dinner shows and lots more.
Check-in was quick and efficient. Excellent staff, very helpful. The two bedroom suite was clean. The lady at the front desk that checked us in called to check if everything met our needs. The water park inside and outside was clean and had attendants. Towels were available at each area. Lots of fun for the kids. The resort is close to everything! We loved it and will return.

Not all its cracked up to be for the price!!!

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Water park
Cons: It needs updating and some general maintenance. They call themselves a green hotel but, they have taken that to a whole new meaning.
Location: Convenient to shopping and restaurants
Upon checking in we were told it is not a handicap accessible resort which is said considering when I called before booking to verify this aspect of our trip. It does not have enough parking and we had to park in winery parking both nights next door. The entry doors are quiet a walk from parking lot and luggage carts are few and far between. Check in Manager needed a course in customer service and how to smile. She was training a new employee upon check-in and was a poor example for employees. When ask about what room to place us in to help accommodate us the most she hesitated then ended up placing us in a unit on 3rd floor at the far end unit next to water park which requires A LOT of walking. Husband being a disabled vet with double leg braces did not do well. Very disappointed at there lack of caring or trying to accommodate us to make the trip more enjoyable. Will not be back. Only positive note I can pass on is the water amenities were very nice. I hope this helps someone else.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. Feedback from our guests is very important to us and is an integral part of our continuous training. We are saddened to hear that your stay was anything less than fantastic. We just added additional parking and are continuing to look for more options as we understand that is an inconvenience for our guests at times. We apologize for our inability to accommodate your needs in a manner that was more fitting of your situation. As we only have a select few rooms that are handicapped accessible it is sometimes quite difficult to fully accommodate our guests’ needs. We are glad that you did find enjoyment in the water parks and hope that you will afford us another opportunity to provide you with a room that better suits your needs. We wish you a wonderful day and safe journeys along the way!
