A great home away from home

Our visit was great, our room was clean, plenty of supplies, quiet, modern great facilities for children. Only down side to the room was a bit of minor damage to a wall near the tv in the main room. Also the 1 hot tub was not working at the main pool however there was a second hot tub but it didn't have enough water in it to be relaxing.

Water park not included and front desk not helpful

Pros: Cleanliness. The outside pool had lots of towels for guests.
Cons: WATERPARK SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF THE ROOM.
Location: We went to Dollywood and Splash Country.
The grounds were very well kept and the area very nice. The hotel itself was fine but definitely not luxurious. It was older and needed some refurbishing in the rooms. The website show this beautiful water park and that is the MAIN reason that I booked this hotel through Expedia. It was my husband and I and 4 children. The waterpark is almost twenty dollars extra per person per day. I wasn't going to pay that and pay to go to Dollywood. When we arrived I asked if I could pay and upgrade to a larger room. The front desk clerk told me that should be no problem because the hotel was not full. He acted like he was having trouble checking the status and asked me to come back in the morning. I came back three times the next morning and the staff kept telling me to try back later and they weren't sure if any 2 or 3 bedrooms were available. Eventually I gave up and kept my room. The room was fine. Not luxurious or a resort feeling but met our basic needs. It was very clean. They had tons and tons of towels at the outside pool and that was very nice after spending a day at Dollywood.

The arcade was horrible. I would give it one star. Also, the room was teeny and we had no room cleaning service. I didn't see that when I booked this hotel. If you want a luxury hotel do not book here.

Tornado warning added excitement!

Place was great. Had read poor reviews re noise etc but our place had great views and no noise apart from storm. Ok place could do with upgrading. Water pool would be good for young children but we headed to Gatlinburg. More to do there than Pigeon Forge. Dollywood great but overpriced.

It was great. Close to amusements

Pros: I liked our room. We had a separate bedroom, living room, and a full kitchen.
Location: The location is great. It is close to Dollywood. We took our Granddaughter ziplining for the first time, which she loved. We went to the aquarium.
It is a great place. The water park was nice. The admission to the water park is not included which was a little disappointing. I am 62 and the room we stayed in was up a steep hill plus we were on the third floor so when you reserve a room make sure you know where you are if this would be an issue for you. The room was perfect for us. There is a shuttle that will take you around the park and there is a bus that will pick you up and take you to near by Gatlinburg which is a lovely town and has a aquarium.

Resort tourist trap for timeshare

Pros: I like that it had a water park available. The kids definitely enjoyed the two water slides.
Location: Gatlinburg. Very close! Road up to Newfound Gap and trails very close!
15 years old and need of work. Cabins not on ground level require dragging luggage up/down stairs. Water park implied as part of the resort, but you have to pay. Shuttle / trolley system was on the surface convenient, but they don't have enough for people wanting to use it even from water park to your room and often waiting a bit long as well.

although the room was clean and the staff great, the constant buzz of noise - golf carts whizzing by at all hours, packing as many people into space as you can - never allows you to feel relaxed.

This property is huge. This is typically not a problem but there are tours and people everywhere. I thought this place would be a bit inclusive but was not. Not a mountain experience but a timeshare extravaganza. You will be asked to do a 'tour' of the property an attempt to sell you the place.
