Weekend getaway

Posted Jul 2, 2015
Pros: Spa, room quality.
Cons: Layout is bad. The lobby is terrible. The water park is inadequate.
Location: Between gatlinburg and pigeon forge. Easy to get to either place. Tram service to gatlinburg.
My wife and I ditched the kids for a weekend. I chose this hotel because it had the attached spa. The room was nice. The price a bit high. It was a time share, and they could be a bit pushy over the sales pitch. The fitness center was small but adequate. The water park was small and an additional $18 a pop! Yikes! Didn't use it. My wife was pleased with the spa. The front desk was terribly designed. The whole complex is situated on the side of a mountain and is not laid out very well. Limited parking and a lot of steep walking.

Phenomenal Resort

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: Everything. We normally vacation in Daytona, but our kids have requested to return to this resort. We loved it so much we purchased a time share.
Cons: Adding another pool will assist with the congestion, but they really need 3 to 4 pools.
Location: The location is fabulous. There is so much to do in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
We absolutely loved our stay at Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort and Spa. With everything the resort offers, you literally never need to leave. The staff was very friendly, and we were very satisfied with the amenities. If you don't leave the resort, bring a little extra money due to the prices being somewhat higher. We went to the water park 4 out of the 7 days we were there, and our kids had a fabulous time. We packed our own lunches, snacks, and drinks. You can even take a cooler, but we didn't have one with us. We went to the pool one day, and enjoyed our time there as well. If you don't get there early enough, you may not get a spot. However, they are putting in an extra pool for net summer, which will assist with the crowdedness at their current pool. Their putt-putt course was at a beautiful location with a magnificent view. Our kids were taking pictures at the "I Love Westgate" sign. Gatlinburg had so much to offer, as well as Pigeon Forge. We went to Ripley's Aquarium, and strolled through so many shops. There is so much to do, and the prices are not bad (except the tax).

Great location and facilities.

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Location and facilities are superb. Service was about average even with on receptionist being trained during my check in. However, this is a time share type property. We were invited to a full tour, promising free breakfast and $100 cash for showing up on our checkout date. We show up and are asked a whole bunch of questions before waiting for our tour guide. After 20 minutes of waiting, they call our name and lead us outside where inform us that our household income isn't high enough for them to "gift" us with what was promised for our time and are offered the option of a complimentary tour anyway or just "leave now and salvage what's left of the day." Naturally my wife and I are furious at this treatment which was both invasive and disrespectful. This experience soured an otherwise great trip and stay. Avoid the owner/time share people and you just might have a pleasant stay.

Family Vacation at Westgate

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: The cabin was in great/new condition.
Cons: The part I didn't like is that we had to pay to get into the indoor water park. This part of the deal is not listed or advertised on the website.
The stay at the resort was great. The place was clean and modern. The staff went beyond thier limits to provide excellent customer service.

GIrls weekend out !

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: The room and the view
Cons: The food,. Alos your breakfast cook (who cooks your eggs) was the only staff memeber who seemed like they would like tpo be somewhere.
Location: Location was perfert as you could go to either Gatlenburg or Pigeon Forge, Tn.
My granddaughters and I are from Asheville, NC. Far but not to far to visit your hotel again. We enjoyed the room and the view. The only down fail was the dinner. We ordered room service. The food itself was not good. We ordered pizza, spaghetti and ribs w/beans-- so we paid good money-- the only thing we could eat was the pizza (which was just ok). That being said we would stay at the hotel but not eat there again.

My only issue was that parking, at times, was at a premium.

Nice hotel close to most things in Smoky Mountains

Posted Jun 19, 2015
Pros: The space was awesome. Kitchen set up was nice. They had grills close to every unit. they had 2 outdoor pools
Cons: Include the use of the water park or at least bundle the use of water park for the days you are there for a decent price.
Over all it was a pleasant experience. One of the draw backs was you were not allowed use of the indoor water park without paying extra, for me it would have been about 80-90.00 dollars a day, and we were on a bottom unit & you could hear every step above us.

We’re so happy to hear you had a pleasant stay with us. Since our waterpark is open to the public, there is a small fee to visit. Please keep in mind that you are able to request for a higher floor unit upon booking, these requests are determined upon check in and availability. We’re glad you enjoyed our spacious unit and resort amenities. Please come back and visit us again soon!
