“Cheap & Good Hotel”

Would rate the Wolne Miasto highly. It has an excellent location just a few minutes walk from all the major attactions in Gdansk. The rooms were fine and plent big enough for a 3 or 4 day stay. I wasn't expecting too much from the breakfast after reading some of the reviews but it was fine. The staff on reception were very helpfull. One of my friends had to curtail his stay by one night as he had been called back to work in Qatar. The staff allowed him to use the pc on reception to sort out his tickets and check his emails numerous times

“Gdansk Gem”

This hotel is well located for both business and tourist travelers, at the edge of the old town district. The decor is old world but the facilities are very modern and comfortable. Apart from a couple of small glitches with the booking and payment (the latter not their fault) and the breakfast being fairly modest, I would recommend the Wolne Miasto as a very good value for money hotel.

“Great hotel in centre of old part of Gdansk”

Hotel was comfortable and clean, staff welcoming and speak good English. Did not eat in hotel (except breakfast) since choice outside is big and varied - and also very good! Breakfast was a bit disappointing in the range, but quality was OK. When it came to paying, the receptionist informed me that I had 3 nights at reduced (weekend) rate, which was a surprise and cheaper than I had expected. Brilliant! I would use the Wolne Miasto again without any hesitation. CGD, Glasgow

“Weekend Break”

Located in an ideal spot within the old town for both sightseeing, cafes, eating and some great pubs. Hotel very comfortable, we didnt eat there, and the staff were very courtious and helpful with how to get around Gdansk. Definately recommend for a stay in the Old Town of Gdansk.

“Mansard option”

I booked a mansard room which had a very spacious bedroom but this space comes at the cost of the bathroom. The bathroom was tucked into the eaves & so could only fit a half height shower (this meant you have to sit in bath when taking a shower) and a demi-bath. If the bathroom space is really important to you, you should book another floor of the hotel. For me the extra space in the bedroom made up for the smaller bathroom. The hotel staff were unfailingly polite and helpful.

“Surprising Gdansk”

Hotel was clean and warm, especially good in bracing New Year temperatures! There were loads of photos of old Gdansk on the walls, and one sent us in search of 'Beer street', which turned out to be just around the corner (look for 'Piwna' on the map) and had lots of places to eat or just get a drink. The next street is Long Market (look for 'Dluga') for Neptunes Fountain etc., and it's also close to the market and several impressive churche so, overall, a great location. Breakfast was typically continental buffet style, but served until mid-day which was a great bonus on New Years Day. We've agreed we'd like to go back to Gdansk and explore some more in warmer times and see the cafe's, shops & streets in full swing, and would certainly consider the same hotel again.

“Old town charm!”

This hotel is an absolute gem, it's charming, clean and affordable. The room was large, with lovely high ceilings, and a huge spa bath. The staff were friendly, enthusiastic and more importantly multi-lingual. In addition there was free wifi in the rooms. I will definitely be back.
