“Excellent hotel with great service”

I arrived very late (11:45pm) for business trip and was served promptly, getting to my room within few minutes of walking through the hotel door. The staff were very helpful and responded with a smile. Will definitely choose this hotel if I am in Gdansk for business.

“lux hotel, great location”

Staff was eager and able to please. Location is great -- near train station and center city, shops.

“High class hotel”

The price was acceptable. Great room, very good breakfast, Perfect location near the Old Town. The car parking could be cheaper.

“Great location, lacked common sense”

The hotel itself was in a great location. The room was clean and the beds were good. Through the pictures online the room was not what I thought it would be. It was much smaller. The other main problem was the air. The air conditioner made a noise, through the night. Due to a full hotel, I could not be moved, thus towels we placed around the unit to mute the sound. The air conditioner was in the celing with all the electrical wires. I tried to explain this was not safe, and I was accured it would be due to the smoke dector. I would go back because of the price and location, just not stay on floors 14-17 where the hotel says the problem occure often.

“Good hotel”

Good location, close to the railway station, bus/tram stops and the old town. The room was clean and nice people at the registration desk and the hotel restaurant. I would stay at that hotel again.

“Different room types in the hotel”

I stayed at hotel on two seperate weekends in October. The first stay, the room was great with a tea maker, fridge and comfortable bed. 9th floor. The second time, no tea maker, no fridge, broken shower, and crumby beds. second floor. So two different experiences within 2 weeks of each other. location is great, and staff is pleasant enough. breakfast is very good.

“Not a four star hotel”

Whilst the Mercure rooms are modern and tastefully decorated, they are plain and simply just too small. Two people with luggage cannot be accommodated comfortably within the superior room, the standard double bed commanded most of the floor space. The bathrooms were similarly challenged in dimensions. The lack of leisure facilities also served to disappoint - especially considering the 4 star rating and cost . Suffice to say we will not be returning to the Mercure..
