“It's all about the view!”

The positive: we came for the fjord, and the view was incredible both from the room and the restaurant. The breakfast was filling and varied. The negative: the view also included the campground between the hotel and the fjord as well as the cruise ships that arrive on a daily basis in the early morning belching diesel fumes all day. The town is overwhelmed with cruise and bus tours until around 5,when the town becomes idyllic. If you are driving, the location (about 1/2 mile out of town) is actually pereferable. The walk however is life-threatening. The road is narrow, and the traffic is continual. Get up early or go out late to avoid the masses.
