From the moment we arrived at the resort, we loved it. I can't say enough about the staff and their customer service skills. The resort is stunning from every view. The beach runs for miles and all of the expected luxuries are readily accessible. The resort is huge and remotely located on over 800 acres and access protected be a security gate. It's like being in a gated community which put us in an extra relaxed state. Though there was only one restaurant - we can't complain about the food - it's well prepared and sizable portions. The rooms are very nicely designed and our ocean view from the balcony was breath taking. The room's restroom was large with double sinks, a private toilet, a stand-up shower and separate tub. Our room had a mini-frig, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, a valuables safe, cable TV and good wi-fi reception. The pools, spa & salon were also nice.
As I mentioned the resort is over 800 acres but there is only one restaurant and no shopping - that includes a souvenir shop. The hotel provided us a shuttle into the city to shop but the city isn't close by and they don't wait for you - they return for you. None of the boat tours pick-up from the the resort beach so you also need to get a shuttle to the city to take advantage of those things. While the cleaning staff were excellent, there were insects in the sinks regularly. We weren't sure if that was a pest control issue or a Mazatlan issue but they didn't keep us from enjoying our stay.

It was a beautiful hotel but in the middle of nowhere. It's a great thing that the food and service was great because no one was going to delivery pizza to you. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Wow we stayed for 2 weeks - the hotel is blocks from the malecon which is a 10km path along the ocean - so beaches galore within walking; you are right in the machado which has a ton of restaurants, entertainment in the eves and beautiful atmosphere. You are in the heart of centro - so much to look at, beautiful architecture, church; the marcado is within walking. Heck we even walked to the ferry to stone island (beautiful beach)
The staff is amazing - many speak english which makes it easy; but they are personable, helpful and top notch. The food at the hotel is also extremely good - we did eat in many other places, but the hotel was always the best - hats off to the chef!

Wonderful & attentive staff, good beds & clean rooms, and reasonable rate for ocean-view room with hot breakfast. Noise was a concern as noted by other travellers, but we didn't have a problem (...a little toleration & a room on the 8th floor) Centrally located for easy walking in the Historic Zone, close to Archeological Museum, the market, several plazas & the Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Inexpensive pulmonias took us everywhere else. We stayed 10 days in late March/early April, and will definitely return!

"Best view in Mazatlán, very clean area, good price"
This hotel is great, very comfortable for the price, nice and kindly people working. If you want to feel like you are on 50', or 40's, be there. It is very close to historic places!, and downtown. Wonderful stay!!

The staff, location, amenities, overall was excellent. The only slight disappointment was the "wanna be balcony". In our ocean view room, you could not actually step out on the balcony - it was flush to the windows.
The ocean was right across the street, easily accesable, and the pool was clean and service was provided poolside.
We ate several times at the hotel, and the food was excellent. I used the free internet and had no issues.
Overall, very well managed hotel,we both highly recommend.

We had an oceanfront room and it was lovely, we could hear the waves and it was very pretty. The staff was wonderful, very friendly and eager to help/please. They were respectful and polite, even when we got confused and thought we had vouchers for the buffet breakfast (we only had vouchers to cover the Americano style breakfast)...and they didn't charge us for the food we already had put on our plates from the buffet!
I am a light sleeper however, and the traffic noise, music from nearby clubs, etc. was too much for me, even with the door closed and the fan on high. My husband slept fine, tho...and I can't say enough about the cleanliness and up-to-date style of the hotel. We did not go to the spa but laid by the pool (which has a cute little water slide for wee ones) and thoroughly enjoyed that. Everything was fairly close to walk to, and if you didn't want to walk, the pulmonia and taxi drivers are very attentive.
