“Was worried, but turned out ok”
Check-in was a madhouse. One guest demanding a refund, others trying to negotiate for a missing hotel room. By the time we got to the desk 15 minutes after entering the hotel, we were a bit worried if we had made the right choice.
Turns out everything was fine. Room was clean and good for European standards, location was close enough to the train station, access to the airport couldn't have been easier (and was free with the travel cards provided). Reasonably priced for Geneva makes the Admiral a solid stay. Would stay again, but I'm still spooked about the other guests who were not at all happy with the hotel.
Also, be aware the hotel is literally right next door to a sex shop so think twice before checking-in with the young-uns. Typical of most older european hotels, you leave the key with the front desk, the rooms are smallish and the elevator/lift is tiny. Not detractors, but some Americans tend to be surprised by these things so go understanding this is what makes Europe charming and quant.
