Close to railway station, right by buses and tram

Posted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: Comfortable, good sized room close to public transport
Cons: Nothing
Location: Train station, buses, trams across the road. 5 minute walk to lake. Restaurants close by.
Good hotel, close to rail, trams, buses and restaurants. Clean reasonably sized room, comfortable and quiet. The receptionist gave us a free travel card to use on public transport and yellow boats across Lake Geneva.

Convenient, clean hotel with excellent staff

Posted Sep 11, 2014
Location: Near main train station, so the neighborhood reflects services to lots of people traffic. Did not feel unsafe in the area at all. Easy walk to lake.
Very near train station, so convenient access to airport. Clean (it's in Switzerland after all). The decor is simple; but for the price you get everything you need for a stay. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

Location couldn't be better, and good value too

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: Location was excellent, the travel card useful for excursions within Geneva, and the price was reasonable in comparison with other hotels in Geneva.
Cons: Maybe a few more tourist leaflets could have been available.
Location: The Lake is five minutes walk away, with boat trips and a little train touring every half hour. The Jet d'Eau looks good and the old town is nice.
The Hotel Suisse magically appears in front of you across the road as you exit the Gare Cornavin, six minutes by train from the airport with a free ticket available in the baggage area. The room wasn't that big but was comfortable, with the always-welcome kettle and coffee-making facilities and (for British travellers) the added bonus of BBC 1 and 2 on the television. The breakfast buffet (included) was basic but perfectly adequate to start the day. The room was quiet at night with air conditioning and a window which could be opened. If arriving is easy, so is getting to the Lake, which is five minutes walk away. The rest of Geneva was readily accessible by the bus and tram system for which the station is a hub. Here the complimentary travel card for the duration of your stay (including getting back to the airport at the end) There is a small shopping centre under the station for basics, with the shopping district and the Old Town nearby a few minutes further on from the lake. There are plenty of restaurants nearby.

Recently stayed for three nights. Close to the station (basically opposite) & about 5-10 min walk to the lake. Hotel was really clean especially the room. As we stayed for three nighta breakfast got a bit repetitive but was nice.

Nice Hotel close to train. Free Metro passes

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Great hotel. Not sure if all hotels in Geneva do this but Hotel Suisse provides free passes. I was right next to the metro line and could occasionally hear people yelling/talking loudly...slept like a baby though. Most other rooms are probably much quieter. Three blocks away is Geneva's red light district. Kinda sketchy, lots of prostitutes if you're not used to it.... 3 men were throwing glass bottles at each other at 8AM. Had to warn some kids to turn around. Hotels Great.

Pros: Close proximity to train station.
We took the train from Paris and walked across the street to the hotel. Very convenient. The room was bigger than I expected. Nice size bathroom and very clean.

Prime location, renovated rooms

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Great hotel near the station. Literally steps away from Gare Cornavin which probably has ALL the buses/ trams in Geneva stopping by. The rooms are newly renovated, clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are clean but slightly older style. The hotel staff is very friendly and arranged a pickup for us as we couldn't speak French at Mont Saleve cable car. And helped us plan our two day trip. Good hotel. Will recommend.
