“Not Impressed”
Good - beautiful, new, French minimalist design.
Bad - I couldn't believe that a hotel with these high room rates still charges for an Internet connection.
Ugly - In a rather posh main restaurant called "Woods", the waitstaff looked as if they had slept in the ill-fitting suits and were wearing scuffed up, old shoes. When I asked for a glass if wine, the waiter brought me a portfolio of "wines of the world" with only full bottles listed, some as high as $4,000! When I asked for the "by-the-glass" wine list, he hesitated as if he didn't have one and then asked if I wanted white or red, and from Italy, France or Geneva. I should have insisted on a listing, but I just said "France." He served me a decent cabernet, and when I got the bill, I learned that my glass of ubiquitous French red was $22! My total bill for a modest meal was $90.
With minor user-friendly fixes, this could be a better hotel. However, beware of the cost. I have stayed in better hotels for much less.
