“unacceptable behavior from staff of a 4 stars hotel”
The "non smoking" room was full of cigarette smoke. Dealing with the person at the reception desk was even worse than dealing with the smoke. Impolite and at times rude! There was one person named Phillip who made an effort to resolve things. He gave me another room where the bed was broken. The telephone wasn't working either (other than communicating with the reception). The bed and telephone were not fixed. The only good thing about the hotel is the proximity to the center. Other than that stay away from this place!
“Overrated”
This is definitely not a four star hotel. It would be overpriced even as a three star hotel. It is very noisy and severely understaffed. The only redeeming quality is that the room is clean. The bed is hard a rock.
“Dissappointed”
I booked this hotel based on the 4 star rating by Expedia. However, I should have read the reviews of other travelers. Although the staff was friendly and helpful I found the hotel to be dated and in a very seedy part of town. Upon returning from a friend's hotel we had to pushed our way through ladies of the night and a host of not so desirable people. Furthermore, we had to endure yelling from the street below until 4 am. Don't bring your children, wife, mother, girlfriend or anyone you care about to this place, you will be scolded until the cows come home. If you want a place with a sex store next door, there is in fact, and an easy hook up, this is the place for you.
“Rieponne”
clean room and useful amenities made us comfortable to stay for two nights, but surrounding neighborhood is not good for girls and ladies to go back to the hotel at night and so noisy at midnight that I couldn't fall asleep well.
“Nice hotel in a rough neighborhood”
The hotel is clean and nice. The room was a bit small but about the size that you expect in big European cities. The only complaint that I had about the room or the hotel was that the room was a little cold. Not too bad but could have been a little more warm. They gave us a space heater but it did not really help too much. The interesting thing about it is that it is right in the middle of the red light district. This is generally ok during the day time but after 8pm or so I was really uncomfortable walking around in the neighborhood as I feared for my safety and I am not one who gets easily concerned about such things. It appears that the hotel is sex worker friendly. When we came in one night there was what appeared to be a sex worker sitting in the lobby. This is just what it looked like to me I did not verify. So if the red light district is what you are looking for then this is an excellent hotel. If not then it is still ok as long as you take a taxi in and out of the neighborhood late at night.
“Not so impressed”
Most of the front desk staff went out of their way to be especially unfriendly and unhelpful. Customer service obviously was not in any staff training. External noise from outside sex workers unpleasant. Will not stay here again and will not recommend this hotel to others
“Decent hotel”
Located near the railway station and near the red-light district. A little noisy at night. The fittings are a little old, but in good condition and very clean.
