This is a modern, purpose-built hotel with an okay spa. Particularly liked Nespresso and computers in lobby, staff friendliness, wood burner (evening only), room size, room furnishing, room wifi.
Not so good aspects include; no proper heating in rooms during the day, lighting far too dim to read in the room (3w leds in 3 fittings), foam-lump pillows that I have not seen since the 1970s. Heavily stained carpet (Room 104).
We ate in the sparse restaurant; portions small, fish stew good, but "veal" grissley, dried up and inedible. Breakfast buffet was adequate for the grade of hotel.
Worst bit was that on our second visit to the bar the barman refused to charge our €7 bill to the room and asked me to rum up to the room for cash. I refused and he said it would have to be paid from his own pocket then...... After a protracted discussion I persuaded the receptionist to add it to our bill, but the following morning I found that it had been increased to €10 to punish us! Petty I know, but it spoiled our evening and our stay.
