The hotel was close enough to walkPosted Oct 9, 2013
Cons: The breakfast spread could be better. More selection and fresher.
The hotel is close enough to walk everywhere, but the staff we very unfriendly.

good location for the portPosted Jul 14, 2012 on Hotels.com
if you want a clean and basic, reasonably priced hotel to use as a base, where a comfortable bed and hot shower are the important things, then this would be a good choice. Literally a couple of minutes from the busy port with its attractions and 10 to 15 mins walk back into the city for the main sights, we were pleased with it's location and having somewhere to park the car was beneficial.

The Alexander HotelPosted May 15, 2011 on Hotels.com
While close to the train staition is not convenient while carrying luggage. The lift placed you between floors. The bar (on level 0), didn't have any ice. Supposedly the ice machine was broken. While checking out, the manager and staff were arguing in front of of guests. No offer to help with luggage.

Great locatrion but shabby roomsPosted May 24, 2010
Very close to the train station and the piers, as well as metro. Room is cramped and beddings very old. Breakfast Ok, but come early.
