rip offPosted Jan 12, 2014
David Walley's is a nice resort but recently they started to charge money for Hot Springs. David Walley's is in the middle of nowhere no shopping no place to go only hot springs. Everyday you visit the hot springs you have to pay $30 per person per day. I have big family my room cost me less than hot springs. rip off

Trip to GardnervillePosted Oct 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed in the Canyon complex. Bed was awful. Pillows were awful. There was some kind of plastic sheet under the bottom sheet that kept us too hot. Way overpriced for what you got. We will find something else next time we are in the area.

Everything you need is at this resort.Posted Sep 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
Outstanding getaway. Between the mineral pools and the balcony we did nit feel like leaving the property! Great customer service, very clean, comfortable room. Not a complete kitchen so cooking was challenging but the staff was very accommodating. Loved it!

Great accommodation and hot springs not to be missed, Cafe great - shame not open in the evening as found Restaurant over priced and service over the top and unnecessary.

Wanted a relaxing weekend with FriendsPosted Aug 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
At check-in, we were stunned! After paying a high price, per night, for a two night stay at Walley's Hot Springs, we were told that it would cost us an ADDITIONAL $60.00 per day to use the Hot Tubs and Pool at Walley's?? This is the main reason we booked our rooms at Walley's was so that we could use the Hot Pools. I have severe Arthritis and was looking forward to an hour or two each day relaxing my joints. We were outraged to be told we would have to pay extra to use an Ammenity of the property, as paying guests?? We were also supposed to have an adjoining room with our friends, that did not happen either? We were told at check-in that they were "too busy" to go changing rooms around, although this was requested from the time we made our reservations, and they put us in seperate buildings, not even close to each other and both couples have handicapped people. The weekend was a total disappiontment and we will NEVER go back to this "time share" property again!! If you are not a "time share" member here, do not go here, you will be treated horribly.

Nice facility close to Carson City & S. Lake TahoePosted Jul 27, 2013
Pros: Location and cafe.
Cons: Resort owners should provide adults guests free access to the hot mineral water springs instead of charging $30 per day, per adult, to use the pools.
Location: Very little to do in Genoa. Casinos and many restaurants available in near-by Carson City and Lake Tahoe.
Stayed 4 nights in a/c rooms during a mid summer heat wave. Took advantage of time share tour and bribes.

Pleasant place to visit!Posted Jul 8, 2013
Pros: Nice facilities. Clean rooms. Hotel was up to date.
Cons: Better coffee in the room.
Location: Noce walking trail to the nearby town. Close to Minden with shopping and movie theatre. Great antique stores.
We were pleasantly surprised by the up to date decor and style of the hotel. It looks better in person than on the internet. Room was good, very quiet, even though there were other quests. Nice walking trail to the town of Genoa, which had some excellent restraunts. In room coffee was not replaced the second day, and room was not cleaned well. That was own only real complaint. Overall, i would go again.

Time Share Not A ResortPosted Jun 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
I felt we were frauded they never said it was a time share and the pictures online we saw when we booked were nothing like what we saw when we got there it was supposed to be a old fashioned resort. Instead stuck in a hotel room building on the out skirt where you had to hike 3 building and go upstairs just to get ice. then when you want to use the hot springs they so elegantly entice you with you find out it is $30 per person on top of the $119.00 you are already paying a night. not the $8.00 advertised online when you booked. I have nothing I can not refer people to a place where wall paper is peeling in the bathroom of a place the brag just went under a 5million dollar renovation. Genoa is a great place but dont stay here.

Were were disapponted that the hot tubs were not included in the price of the hotel. We were not told this info at the time of booking. However the Hotel Manager very graciously remedied the siituation for us.
