"Relaxation for sure"Posted Mar 4, 2014
Pros: Hot tub
Cons: Instructions on how to close the tub drain!
Location: The mountains surrounding the hotel are breath taking.Walk , jog, eat, shop, swim, treat myself to the spa.
Quiet, relaxing, beautiful scenery. Hot tub a little to hot for me & cool pool a little to cool for me.

Would absolutely stay here again!Posted Mar 1, 2014
Pros: Service, location, cleanliness, and overall decoration and feeling
Location: Plenty of restaurants, shops, and casinos
This hotel is definitely worth it. This was my first time gambling so I was a little nervous. We got to the hotel, checked in, which was really quick. The concierge directed us to the best restaurants and gave me some gambling pointers, then we were off to the 24th floor to our room. They dimmed the lights for us and had calming music playing from the TV when we walked in. Definitely a great presentation! The bathroom was gorgeous with its tile and separate tub and shower and the bed was really comfortable. But above all, the people at this hotel made the stay overall more enjoyable and made everything so much easier!

Very nice hotel with a great viewPosted Feb 21, 2014
It was a very nice, comfortable room. The bathroom was the nicest I've seen in a hotel, and the two comfortable chairs with an ottoman were a nice touch.

Love the hot tubPosted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: Updated room, hot tub
Cons: I didn't like being charged for drinks at the casino bar, when I was at the machines and the waitresses kept passing me each time.
Location: I liked the gambling the least. It was in a great location, right by the other larger casinos. Great restaurants inside.
The hot tub was the best part - rooftop, nice and open, bar close by. The bathroom in our room was phenomenal - modern, clean and luxurious. Will definitely be back!

Best rooms in Blackhawk.Posted Feb 18, 2014
Rooms are very nice and comfortable. The buffet is not that great especially for the price. I would rather go to another where there wasn't so many kids. The pool area is the babysitter. The timberline grill has excellent food and service. Pricey but worth it.

Best Hotel / Casino in the Blackhawk areaPosted Feb 18, 2014
The spa suite was amazing. Would recommend to anyone who wants an experience close to Vegas without the travel

A great place for a weekend stayPosted Feb 17, 2014
We've lived in Denver for 4 years, and never stayed the night in Blackhawk. The Ameristar is first-class; we only stayed in a regular room and it was very comfortable and clean. There were some very nice touches - the bathroom is large and the shower and bath were very well designed. I'd recommend this hotel to just about anyone...

Excellent & totally worth it!!!Posted Feb 16, 2014
All through out our stay I cannot find anything negative thing to say. Their room has all the amenities I was looking for even the vanity mirror that helped me apply my make up with ease! Amazing :) Their spa is fabulous! Was relaxed & rejuvenated after the massage. I highly recommend Tony their Massage Therapist. He is great! Timberline grill's food is magnificent and the whole ambience is A+++!!! Our first time to stay here & will not be the last. You guys really have to check this place out! A little pricey but worth every penny I spent.

Best room ever but . . .Posted Feb 15, 2014
Pros: Spacious and inviting. Hotel staff was friendly and engaging. The decor was beautiful and not overly cramped.
Cons: I'm sure the pillows were chosen with as much care as were the other amenities. However, the ones in our room were a serious step down from expectatio
Location: The hotel is part of the Ameristar casino. Gambling, shopping, dining and various entertainment activities available in house.
We enjoyed our stay with only these areas of concern. 1. A great bed but lousy pillows - 3 pillows, 2 not meant sleeping on only decor, thick and overly firm. The third was flat and difficult to arrange. Could have been a good nights sleep. 2. Could not adjust the room temp - wasn't cold in the room but cool and the heat would not engage. 3. Annoyance - We were told we'd have a great view of the mountains. We had a great view of the parking lot. In fact, the tall, huge light fixtures in the parking lot flooded our room like a spot light. We couldn't leave the drapes open at all, not even a crack or the light in my face would prevent me from getting to sleep. As a business traveler this would have been a deal breaker but since our trip was leisure (anniversary), the other amenities compensated for this flaw. Over all, a good experience.

Hotel casinoPosted Feb 9, 2014
Cons: Need more survalince in garage area, as in people double parking
Great food casino & rooms. Even after we mentioned to the staff that are floor smelled like dope. Went up there later & the floor had been aired out.
