Pros: Everything.
Location: Expedia needs to correct distance from Heathrow. Expedia shows it 4.97 miles from Healthrow, which is why I chose it. It's 14 miles from Heathrow.
Great room, incredible character & wonderful, helpful staff

Good Hotel with some minor issues

Pros: The ambiance of the public areas is fantastic.
Cons: Breakfast
The staff at this hotel are excellent, extremely courteous and efficient. The signage to the rooms is extremely confusing.however For a hotel of this standing and quality the breakfast was disappointing, the toaster did not work and was replaced with another which only toasted one side of the bread. The hot6 food was anything but hot by the time I walked the 10 feet from the buffet to my table. The bacon looked awful and the fried eggs hard. .

Enjoyable stay

Pros: Its friendliness & facilities. A pleasant environment to stay in.
Cons: The room rate was relatively expensive but for a special event it was worth it.
Location: Location was easy to find & had plenty of free parking. I didn't investigate things to do nearby as I was just staying overnight for a private party.
I stayed overnight following a private party in one of function rooms. The party was well prepared & all was as it should be for a lovely celebration. My room was larger than expected as I was staying on my own, & well equipped with everything I needed. It was quiet & well serviced. All the staff were helpful & friendly & breakfast in the morning was very good. A very enjoyable stay in a very pleasant hotel.

Excellant short or long term stay hotel

Staff quality at this hotel is very high. Apart from one blip on a busy day with the restaraunt I had great service.

Excellent family room

We were very impressed by the size of the room we were given with ample room for 2 adults and 2 children. There was a double bed separated by a screen from a double sofa bed and a single roll away bed and there was still room for a dining table and chairs. There was a single toilet as well as a large en suite bathroom with separate tub and shower. The bathroom was fitted to a very high standard. The hotel staff were very helpful, breakfast was excellent and the gardens were pretty. All in all a very pleasant stay in a very convenient location. I'd highly recommend it.

Lovely Hotel, Great Room, let down by the food

The hotel seems to be based on an old coaching inn and has been constructed nicely but using plastic imitation beams, although tastefully done! Room was lovely and well equipped - walk-in shower and a shower over the bath. The facilities were let down by the food though - a poor 'pie' (with no crust) for dinner and cold scrambled eggs in the morning. I'd still probably give it another try though as the front desk staff were very helpful and the actual hotel was very pleasant.

Great Staff in Restaurant and Bar

We stayed on a Sunday evening and were initially dismayed to hear that the normal restaurant wasn't open. We were however allowed to choose from the menu and eat in the bar. The menu was great, food was fantastic and the bar staff and waitress who looked after us couldn't have been better. So pleased that we didn't choose to spend the evening elsewhere.
