Nice hotel, in great distance to circlePosted Jan 4, 2015
I booked this hotel through Expedia's unpublished rates link. It was a great price so I booked it for a weekend away with the other half. The lobby is very clean, nicely decorated, warm and inviting. However, when we got to the room it was okay. Two double beds and just didn't feel as warm and welcoming and the lobby. I immediately contacted the front desk and asked for another room with a queen or king size bed. They graciously moved us but it was an additional $10/night. It was worth it because we were moved into the annex building, had a new king size bed, view of the pool (even though it was the weekend after Christmas and it was closed) it still was a nice view. The annex building is in close proximity to a parking lot, only had three or four rooms located in it, and we had a small fitness center included in the annex building too. The room was nice sized, flat screen tv, micro, fridge, open closet, nice bathroom, and since we were located in a separate building but still very close to the main hotel, it was nice and quite. It made the weekend great with having a nice room to go back to and relax after a day of tours, site seeing, walking, wine tours, ghost hunts, shopping, and anything else you find to do while in Gettysburg. It's definitely a great hotel (the annex rooms) and is only a couple blocks away from center city/circle where there's plenty to keep busy between everything else.

Very Nice HotelPosted Dec 31, 2014
Pros: Easy walking distances to town, restaurants and shops.
Cons: The heating unit is very loud and cannot be turned off unless you want to freeze.
My daughter and I visited Gettysburg for the first time in late December. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and pleasant. The room is clean and very conveniently located to the center of town, although a bit of a walk but still very well located. Free parking, very small fitness room and free Wi-Fi. The buffet breakfast was surprisingly very nice. A large variety of items including sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, sausages, waffles, French toast, fruit, assorted fruit juices, cereal, bagels, English muffins, etc. There are very good restaurants in the area including the Blue Parrot and the Irish Pub. Ragged Edge coffee is excellent and not to be missed. Go to the one in town, they also have excellent food including their blueberry scones.

Pros: Location and price.
Just an over night stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Located near shops and right next to the Jennie Wade House. 2 blocks over was the National Cemetery for a quick midnight walk. Walking to Dobbin House was & Hall of Presidents Museum. Many places to eat. Also near to the Farnsworth house.

The best value in the areaPosted Dec 9, 2014
Pros: convenience of location. thoughtfulness of staff
Cons: Can't think of a thing...
Location: convenient location close to shops and the national park. plenty of choice in restaurants
The front desk called our first nite asking if we needed anything. The breakfast was included and very nice. Coffee was always available in the lobby. We were close to everything and there was no charge for parking unlike some other hotels.
