“Great low cost, clean and good location, very friendly staff!!!”

Beds were confortable, great price and location. Darrick at the front desk was friendly and helpfull. And Frank the housekeeper was friendly and he kept everything nice and clean. We enjoyed our one night stay. Plan to go back in the spring and spend more time, the area is so rich with history.

“Great Budget Motel”

I was looking for an inexpensive, yet clean and well run place in Gettysburg, and the Colton Motel certainly fit the bill. It is conveniently located near the battlefield and is within walking distance of restaurants, ghost tours, and downtown. It has a small outdoor pool for those muggy summer days. I would definitely stay there again.

“Our Second tay.”

The motel was great - close to everything. The National Cemetery is right behind it. Manager was friendly and helpful. Room was clean, shower had plenty of hot water. Also had a fridge, wireless with easy access. Room is on the small side, but that was OK with us. No continental breakfast, but there is a neat place for that just down the street - Avenue Restaurant.

“Great place to stay if you are on a budget.”

If you are on a budget but still want to stay within the city limits, the Colton Motel is the place. The friendly staff made us feel welcome. Its right across from attractions, close to resturants, and safe area. The room wasn't cleaned enough each day to our liking (not gross but not clean enough form my former house keeping sister), but they were training someone new! Well worth looking into.

“Great Location”

Right across from the Cemetery, next to the Visitor Center. Doesn't get any better than that. Motel is old but adequately maintained. A bargain for the price. The Innkeeper is a character and made for lively discussion. Overall the staff bent over backwards to please. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend the Colton.

“Great Location Classic Motel”

We stayed 2 nights and the location was great. walked to everything in Gettysberg. Room was clean but dated. This is a classic old motel., Would do another short stay because the location is great but with some updating this place could be a great stop in Gettysberg.

“Good for the price”

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Room clean. Toilet paper was like using newspaper. TV very customer unfriendly - had to get staff person in to get to channels - no instructions, no channel guide, remote did not work. Pillow was nothing to speak about.

“Don't Judge a Book by its cover.”

I had a wonderful Stay at the Colton Motel. I was nervous about the looks of it from the outside when I pulled in, especially since I was staying alone, but all the staff were very friendly and my room was being thoroughly cleaned when I arrived at the motel. The cleaning staff were very pleasant and took pride in their job and ensured that the room was clean and that I had everything that I needed to have a pleasant stay. Yes, this is an older motel and it doesn't have all sorts of fancy amenities in the rooms that up to date places do, but if you just want a basic room that is clean and in a good location for a cheap price this is the place for you. It was nice that they did offer a continental coffee and danish breakfast. Room #25 was a lovely place to stay and very quiet in the back part of the motel away from the main street.
