“Would definitely stay here again!”

My family recently visited Gettysburg, PA and spent two nights here. We found the hotel just through an internet search and had no idea what to expect. The hotel and our room were clean, the staff was very helpful and it was a great location for visiting tourist attractions in the area. My kids were a little disappointed by the small size of the pool but that is the only possible complaint. The continental breakfast was great and had a nice variety of things to choose from. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends & family.

“Gettysburg”

This was our last stop on a 6 week road trip around the US. We were glad to see that the hotel was clean, taken care of and convenient to the visitors center as stated in prior reviews. We checked out at 6AM and were happy to see that breakfast was ready (posted 6:30AM start). I wish there were heathier choices other than pastry, muffins, waffles, etc. Better yogurt, fresh fruit and granola would be appreciated. We would stay here again. It was nice that they had cake to share with guests to celebrate the opening of the hotel.

“Would repeat stay next time in gettysburgh”

Weather was hotter than normal for late May, but cleanliness of the town and your hotel were exceptional. Recommend a stay of at least 3 nights and Monday or Tuesday arrival. If driving don't exit I-70 at Breezewood, Avoid US30 mountain roads, stay on the interstate and hook-up with I-81 North of Hagerstown.

“Weary Travelers”

We had driven all night to be at Gettysburg by morning. We toured Gettysburg with a private guide. When we arrived at Comfort Suites we were barely able to keep our eyes open! Our room was ready at 2 p.m. and we were asleep by 3 p.m. The next morning, the hot breakfast was very good! Checkout was fast and easy and we were on our way!

“Comfort Suites Gettysburg, PA”

The hotel is a newer one and as of Feb 2010 about six months old. The hotel staff was very friendly but I was highly annoyed my hotel key would deactivate EVERY day after that day's checkout time. The pool is TEENY TINY & if you were to swim in it, you'd feel like you were in a people aquarium given its access from the front lobby area. The gym sucks and there is no hot tub. The hallway noise is a bit much so I could not imagine staying at this place in the summer when it's full of folks. Finally, the place is literally on the edge of a cemetery. Oddly enough, I recommend a view of it because it's far quieter than facing the road. Now the good stuff. The room was more than acceptable for the price, the bed was comfy and the bathroom was nice enough. There was a fridge and microwave inside which was pretty cool. There is a little couch with a fold out bed and a nice desk area in which you can set up your laptop. There is free wireless in the rooms and, I suspect, if you bring you own high speed internet cable, you can link in that way. If you get hungry for chow, there isn't much of a choice unless you drive into town. The Pike SUCKS and the breakfast at the place is lackluster. I recommend Montezumas in town for decent Mexican food. THE LOCATION ROCKS! Easy walk to the Battlefield but count on 3 miles of your walk (total) being coming to/coming back from it.

“Well worth the price.”

We decided to try the new hotel. We always go to Gettysburg every spring and have stayed at the Travelodge, the holiday Inn, quality inn and the days inn. This was the nicest of all of them. All of the staff members were friendly and said hi. Even the cleaning staff. The flatscreen was a nice touch but we couldnt' figure out why it would shut off after an hour and the sleep timer was not on. Breakfast was good and what you expect for a free continental breakfast. Would have liked to have bagels on there but it was fine. Our room was in the back overlooking the cemetary and very quiet. We never heard any noise from the bar across the parking lot. We could also see the edge of the battlefields and some statues. It was a good hotel and I would definitely stay there again.

“Nice hotel - definitely recommended”

My family was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel. The room was very nice, and the wireless network had a relatively strong signal in our room. The hotel was quite busy, but they still managed to keep the breakfast area restocked. The breakfast was great, although the eggs left a little bit to be desired.
