Hotel was under renovation. The room smelled of fresh paint. The SHOWER needed a renovation. It is not a quiet hotel as the flushing toilets and showers on other floors are loud enough to wake you up.

Okay hotel close to outlets

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Our bed had hair in it and I wasn't sure if it was from previous occupants or the maid. I later saw that the maids were blonde and the hair was dark. It's a good thing I sprayed down the sheets and blankets with Lysol. Hair on ye bathroom floor. The rm didn't have a fridge like I had anticipated. Staff very pleasant!

Nice hotel, good location

Good clean rooms, comfortable beds. Enjoyed complimentary breakfast. Daughter used the indoor pool. Convenient locations at junction of two major roads. Downtown Gettysburg about 2-3 miles away and outlet malls right there. Would stay there again.

Nice hotel

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: The friendly staff, and the breakfast is always very good.
Location: Very convenient to Gettysburg and the Outlet Mall and a Fridays right in the parking lot.
Very nice hotel, close to chops and attractions. Still going through a remodel ,I missed all those little homey touches that made the hotel feel comfortable. But all in all the rooms were clean and the staff was very nice. We will stay here again on our next trip.

Not so nice hotel only close to outlets.

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Cons: The whole room.
Location: Only outlet stores.
We were in Gettysburg to visit the town and historical sites. The town is a drive away so if you don't have a car, you have to rely on a shuttle. Our room hadn't be refurbished in about 20 years. The first thing we noticed was a bad smell. The pull out bed was covered with hair and our bed had a very uncomfortable mattress. We had a "suite" but it was cramped. The air conditioner was very noisy. We wanted to open the window at night but the street noise was too loud. All in all our experience was not pleasant. Choose one of the great hotels downtown and pass this one by. I'm done with this chain as this is the second time in as many stays that our room was terrible.

Mildew and smell

Posted Aug 3, 2014
Pros: The cookies were good at the font desk.
Cons: Cleaner and fresher rooms.
Location: Gettysburg, PA. We stayed there to tour the battelfields.
Our room was terrible. I would say the room sprinkler system went off at some point and drenched the room. It smelled like mildew and fresh paint. The walls had water stains on them and the carpet almost felt damp. When I asked the desk if there was another room we could have, they said there was nothing they could do. I even asked for a small refund to ease the experience a little and still nothing. We will not be staying at this hotel again. The breakfast was ok, not the best or worst that I have had at hotels.

Nice hotel, very close to Gettysburgh.

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: The most thing that I liked about the hotel was that it was so close to everything.
Cons: Smell of the room (musty). Stains on carpet and furniture, terrible paint job (patches on walls, stains and painting over tiles). A rush job?
Location: The location was super with a convenience store (7-11) next door, outlet stores, cinema, restaurants and 5 minutes from Getttsburgh.
Overall I enjoyed staying at the hotel. I am not a fussy person so I was neither disappointed nor wowed. I had read some reviews before I arrived, both good and bad, so I was not surprised about anything. The staff that I met seemed very nice and very helpful. My wife and I stayed on the third floor and it was very quiet. The grey paint in the room made it a bit gloomy so a few bright paintings on the walls might have helped. The paint job itself was terrible as you could see the patches through the work along with stains (especially in the bedroom). The tiles in the bathroom had paint drops on them or as under the sink, painted over. My wife said that it was no big deal as we don't live here. The breakfast that was included was good except for the corned-beef (too salty). The thing that I liked the most was that it was so close to everything. My experience in Gettysburgh itself was fantastic. The museums, guides, cemetaries, monuments and people were all inspiring.
